The Mother Index rebounds

Nikkei Stock Average fell for the fourth consecutive session.

In the morning, following the pattern of the major three indexes in the US stock market retreating, profit-taking selling led the way.

With index futures selling, the downside broadened, and it fell to 29,155 yen (down 129 from the previous day).

After the at-onset, it recovered on minor buying, turning to a slight gain at times, but buying did not continue, and it was pushed back into negative territory later.

The Mothers Index began its decline but then rebounded.
