Four-day decline starts
Nikkei Stock Average opened with a four-day losing streak.
As the market continued to face headwinds from higher levels day after day, in the U.S. stock market on the 9th local time,
the Dow fell for the first time in three days and the Nasdaq Composite dropped for the first time in 12 days, leading to selling pressure.
At one point it hit 129 yen lower at 29,155 yen, then slightly pared the decline.
The Mothers index rebounded for the first time in three days.
It began in negative territory but moved back into positive.
