What is the OTM-OP selling method? A restful week?
Hello, this is the administrator Nikkei OP Trader.
Thank you very much for visiting this blog.
We would like to provide information that can be of use to everyone, so please support us.
Now, the theme this time isMarket Impressions.
On Monday, October 30 at the start of the week, the Nikkei Stock Average continued to rise, and at 9:07 it climbed to temporarily 22,086.88.
Meanwhile, due to the strong yen, the upside momentum has become heavy.
As of 11:02, it has sold off slightly to 21,964.90, just below 22,000.
Just last Friday it had reached 22,000, andthe deviation from the 25-day moving average is about 4.8% at the weekend, which suggests a pullback could occur.
On the other hand, if it declines, buyers from short sellers and the Bank of Japan are waiting, so a large downturn is not easy to predict.
Also, with President Trump visiting Japan on November 5, the yen-dollar pair is in a wait-and-see state.
This Friday is a holiday for Culture Day, sothis week has four trading days.
Selling OTM options may be a week where you can leisurely feel time decay (decay of time value).
Note) The above is my personal view, and is intended solely to improve financial literacy. It is not created for the purpose of investment solicitation. Please make final investment decisions at your own risk.
