Start Bitcoin (virtual currency / crypto currency): Part 2
Start Bitcoin (cryptocurrency) - Part 2
Hello everyone.
Are you into FX?
I’m writing about virtual currency that is slightly different from real-world money.
If you could read this as a break from your day,
I would be grateful.
[Bitcoin Preparation Part 1: Prepare a Wallet]
Just like real money, you will need a wallet.
Bitcoin requires a “Bitcoin Wallet.”
(Strictly speaking you don’t have to use one, but I’ll omit that here)
Wallets include “PC version,” “iOS app,” and “Android app,”
and there are official wallets as well as wallets released by third parties,
as well.

Most wallets are free.
Choose and install according to your environment (whether mobile or PC, or whether you want a Bitcoin-only wallet
whether you can store other altcoins (general term for other cryptocurrencies), etc.).
Next, set up your email address and password,
(some may require Google authentication, etc.),
and start using it.
Then the “string of alphanumeric characters” becomes your Bitcoin wallet identification number.
Example: XxXXx012345AbCdeFgHi67Jk89LMopQrstu0
Something like that.
With a wallet, you can send and receive Bitcoin by connecting to the internet.
If you share your address with someone, that person can send to that address. Conversely, if you ask someone for an address (manually inputting is troublesome, so usually QR code or copy-paste), you can also send.
Also, you can own as many wallets as you like
(as long as you don’t get confused),
for example, you can create “A on your home computer” and “B on a mobile app.”
.
Also, wallets are basically apps or software, but
rarely, hardware-type (USB type) ones exist
and you can also save your Bitcoin by writing out your address on paper.
For those who are worried about online hacking
hardware-type wallets are also recommended.
Well, that’s it for creating a wallet.
Next time: how to buy and acquire Bitcoin.
