Market trends from October onward and this week's market
Hello everyone, how are you spending your weekend?
For feature phones, the weekend was very ordinary, passing with “calm seas.”
As for the weekend Bitcoin (cryptocurrency) trading, this weekend was surprisingly calm, with little price movement. I teased out small profits, placed limit orders, and diligently traded little by little.
● BitFlyer, where a feature phone is the main device, trading Bitcoin FX
● Bitbank, a favorite, has started trading Ripple as well
This year has flown by, and October is already here. There are only three months left in the year.
Now, this week's market: today, Monday, the Bank of Japan Quarterly Outlook Report, the US ISM Manufacturing PMI, and on October 3 (Tuesday) the RBA (Reserve Bank of Australia) policy rate announcements will take place, and on October 6 (Friday) the US Employment Situation (nonfarm payrolls) report, which feature phones love, awaits.
The Bank of Japan Outlook Report and the RBA policy rate announcements are expected to be roughly calm, but the US ISM Manufacturing PMI and especially the US employment data will be the focus to see how much the recent hurricane impacts them.
In the United States, with Chair Yellen’s term likely to end as scheduled, unless the hurricane’s impact and the above economic indicators and other U.S. indicators through December show a significant downside, the path to additional rate hikes in December will become more likely.
Since spring this year, the euro had been on a rallying trend, but now the euro faces risks from Spain’s Catalonia independence referendum, despite Merkel’s reelection in Germany, the difficulty in forming a coalition government, and France’s Macron’s approval rating plummeting, all of which pose weakness risks.
Also, the usually quiet North Korea situation has not been resolved, so it remains something to watch closely.
This week too, let’s approach the market cautiously and with enjoyment.
