【2021.9.1】Market recap and future considerations
Stock Price
The Nikkei Stock Average rose by 300.25 yen yesterday.
The short-selling ratio decreased to 39.5%.
The Nikkei has fallen for 11 months at month-end, but yesterday's month-end rise was a positive turn.
As noted yesterday, even though it declined for 11 months, it did not repeat the same pattern, which is a good example.
There is a view that the market became bullish due to the month-end rise, but as I have written before, global hedge funds buy U.S. stocks and sell Japanese stocks as a risk hedge.
As long as U.S. stocks remain strong, this setup is unlikely to change.
Until we can grasp why money flows into the Japanese market, the Nikkei will stay on the sidelines.
