Nice to meet you all for the first time. I am Gara ke Trader (Hayato Igarashi).As the name suggests, I love my flip phone and trade with it for about 70% of my trading.● A part-time trader who works as a sales manager in a company while also handling FX trading on a flip phone● Flip-phone method: a revolutionary hybrid investment method that combines day trading to swing trading and mid- to long-term tradingFirst of all, the reason I became a trader: I started learning about the market from a close friend and mentor who used to work at Nomura Securities.I started with dollar-street scalping and day trading, and have traded a wide range of currency pairs. Everyone, another week of lively markets—thank you for your hard work this week as well.


How did your deals turn out?

This week also looks to be a market environment facing North Korea risk and similar concerns.

As for feature phones, true to the sad nature of a corporate slave salaryman, I spent this week fully immersed in work.

As I mentioned before, it’s reached a point where I’m so tied up as a corporate slave salaryman that I’m reconsidering whether I should try to live as a full-time trader, and this has been on my mind again lately.

Lately, while trading, I’ve been wondering, if I were a full-time trader, in what mental state would I be trading? I’m trading while imagining the near-future life of a full-time trader.

Now, in day trading, the familiar quote-value arbitrage trades were a mixed bag; long positions were tough, but shorts yielded reasonably well.

For day trades, swings, and mid-to-long term positions, I’ve been looking at USD/JPY, BRL/JPY, MXN/JPY, and ZAR/JPY, but given North Korea risk hasn’t fully dissipated, I’d like to steadily take positions, though I’m wary of anything that might occur over the weekend stemming from North Korea risk, so today I took partial profits and lightly trimmed some positions.

Regarding virtual currencies (cryptocurrencies), they’re in a 24/7 “convenience store” state, and since it’s easy to earn, I ended up becoming a trading addict, leaving things a bit idle for about half a month, but after the break, I traded actively this week and managed to make quite a bit.
