【2021.6.30】Market Review and Future Considerations
Stock Price
The Nikkei average yesterday fell by 235.41 points. The short-selling ratio is 44.3%. It has been nine consecutive months of month-end declines, so selling seems driven by the month-end selling of stocks.

Yesterday's U.S. stocks rose: Dow Jones Industrial Average +9.02, S&P 500 +1.19, Nasdaq +27.83.
U.S. stocks are showing strong movement. The non-farm payrolls data for the United States will be released at the weekend.
The Fed has said that quantitative easing cannot be unwound unless employment increases, so attention is on the U.S. non-farm payrolls release. If employment increases, stocks are likely to be sold on the unwinding of QE.
If employment decreases, early unwinding of QE is unlikely, which would support higher stock prices.
