The most important thing to win in the market: Verification! Part 1

DFX Popeye & Spinach.
Chatting... The more I write blogs, the more I feel that writing chatter is harder than FX articlesw
I realize this to be true as I go alongw
I’ve read many bloggers’ blogs, and everyone is really amazingw
It’s amazing that there are so many topics there!
And the skill to write about those topics in an engaging way is amazing as well.
Since I don’t have such skills, I’d like to write about the area I’m most confident in: verificationww
(Not trading, but verification!ヾ(-д-;)ぉぃぉぃ)
If you ask, “What is the hardest thing in FX?” we, DFX, would answer in unison: verification!!
That’s right! Entry, stop loss, take profit, and everything else—verifications are the hardest.
The reason is that it takes the most time for results to appear.
I, Popeye, have spent more than ten thousand hours on verification. (This isn’t a lie or an exaggeration; it’s the truthw)
I lived as a complete NEET, depleting my savingsw
Normally, it’s safer to work and, while keeping insurance, create time for trading, but in my case, there’s no such wonderful job! I’ll succeed in the market no matter what! I’ll go crazy about the market!
I loved and adored the marketw
And after spending ten thousand hours on verification, I finally started winning.
In fact, I didn’t start winning because I spent ten thousand hours verifying;it was because I realized, after ten thousand hours of verification, that my previous method was wrong.
This is the tricky part of verification.
Whether the entry was correct or the stop was correct becomes apparent from the subsequent results, butthe subsequent results of verification are very longww
For example, suppose you’re verifying a certain method.
On a static chart, the total profit remains and the win rate might be 60%.
Then when you trade in real or demo trading, whether the verified method is correct is only known after many trades.
Suppose you spend roughly 50 hours on verification.
Of course, 10 trades won’t make the performance stable.
For scalping, if you experience all market conditions, it takes 2–3 months.
If you trade properly according to the rules, only then will the verification results emerge.
And the result may be that you traded by the rules and still ended in the red.
As for the win rate, it falls well below 60%—down to 30% or so!
At this point you think, (the method is wrong!! I must think of a new method!).
And you repeat the same thing again.
In the end, you get trapped in this cycle of “think up a trading method → verify → trade → think up a new method → ...,” and the results go without saying ww
This is the cycle for those who are serious about it.
Those who can’t trade according to their devised rules can’t even enter this cycle w
(If you’re thinking, “That’s me w(;゜;ж;゜; ),” you’re not laughing material!! w)
This has become long, so I’ll write about verification again next time^^
