"Weekly Investment Newspaper Financial Edition weekly" Publication System Reform Notice Regarding Abolition of Serial Articles

The Investment Daily, which you have long read, began in 1964 as a daily newspaper aimed at participants in the commodity futures market.

Over the following 57 years, its issue count surpassed 15,000. As a daily newspaper specializing in market analysis, it has proudly stood as the oldest in postwar Japan, thanks entirely to the support of its many readers. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude here.

In these nearly 60 years, society and the markets have changed dramatically. Since the Reiwa era began, parts of the commodity futures market have moved to the Osaka Exchange, and the boundaries between commodity and stock markets have been removed. Also, trading forms have shifted from in-person sales and telephone orders to online orders.

Therefore, the Investment Daily no longer needs to be confined to commodity markets alone, and there is no longer a need to insist on issuing a paper newspaper. Accordingly, our company has decided to refresh the print edition from this April.

Since May 2009, the "Financial Edition Investment Daily" has been published, and we will integrate it with the two-times-a-week publication "Investment Daily Alpha" that covers not only commodity markets but the entire financial market, starting this April this year.

As before, we will continue publishing in print, but with fewer publication days, the page count will be doubled, and stock information will be enhanced. The newspaper will become a more comprehensive publication.

Furthermore, going forward, we aim to provide a "newspaper-with-subscription service" that includes curated stock picks by our company's equity management team, subscriber-exclusive video distributions, Web seminars, and special reports, so that it can be a more helpful resource for market participants' trading decisions.

In connection with the above, due to note specifications, we cannot change the price and publication frequency of the currently issued magazine; therefore, as of March 31, 2021, we will discontinue the serialized article "Weekly Investment Daily Financial Edition."

From April 1, 2021, we plan to publish serialized articles of the "Investment Daily Alpha" (Alpha).
