1. Important Fundamentals for This Month
Early in the month: 4 - RBA; 5 - ECB Governing Council, FOMC Minutes; 7 (US) Crude oil inventories; 6 - ECB monetary policy meeting accounts; NIESR UK GDP forecast; 7 (US) Employment Statistics
Mid-month: 14 (US) Consumer Price Index; 17 China GDP; 18 RBA; 20 BOJ; date TBD; IMF; OECD Monthly Monitor
Late month: 26 FOMC; 28 US GDP
3. Seasonal Analysis: Seasonal factors and market tendencies
Early: After the Employment Statistics, with no events, a trend forms through mid-month; consolidation and adjustment bias
Mid-month: Top and bottom formations; the summer doldrums adjustments intensify
Late: Adjustments through August toward a summer-doldrums market
The tendency is to create an adjustment color in the summer. Therefore, please avoid losing sight of the original trend
4. Portfolio: Investment Balance Image
We will re-examine the portfolio balance; the degree of capital balance on a 1–10 scale
Stocks 7; FX 6; Bitcoin 1; Commodities 6
This is the investment ratio at these levels
We will be mindful of investment heat in the commodity markets from July to September, including the euro and commodity currencies
The overall market portfolio balance will change significantly in stages
Therefore, revising investment allocations and destinations becomes important
Stocks: Strong interest in European equities, but upside chasing is weak; buy-the-dip mainly
FX: The dollar’s position is changing; focus on the euro, pound, and commodity currencies
Bitcoin: August 1 split drama? Wait-and-see
Commodities: May heat up; mid- to long-term opportunities are very favorable
Discretionary trading 1; Algorithmic trading 9 (Note: for discretionary traders, consider halving position size or taking breaks)
Trading ratios will also change
Toward summer, we will focus on operation with algorithmic trading
5. Algorithmic Strategy (Note: also for discretionary trading)
Early: Center on BOX strategy, long/short, starting short-term operations
Mid-month: Same as early
Late: After 21st, trend-following tests
6. Fusion Analysis (Summary)
Market toward the summer break
Early: Algorithmic trading-centered; BOX trading; using the summer doldrums to place small trades; UK GDP forecast
Mid-month: Reconsider based on China's GDP trends, IMF and OECD reports
Late: From July 21, warm-up; trades, chart re-set to switch
Seeds of Mindfulness
In June, the direction seemed to sway. It became a correction market, and going forward this is Mindfulness. The meaning is to be careful, mindful, and to be aware of your mind, your breath, and your existence. That is the meaning.
Toward the second half of the year, it is time to reflect on and improve your trading. Please make good use of the summer break. When you can see yourself clearly, reflect on where to invest and where to plant seeds. This is the time to reflect.
Even during the market’s summer vacation, TLT rises and long-term interest rates move. Stocks are wary; despite the summer doldrums, algorithms are active. Is this really okay? In particular, the positions of stocks and the dollar are becoming unstable. As the dollar’s weakness gradually increases, there is potential for significant changes in market development.
From early to mid-month, OECD IMF global GDP, world GDP forecasts, and UK GDP from NIESR will lead to revisions in global outlooks. Hedge funds will only sharpen their eyes slightly and assess the market
Portfolio balance changes, and deciding where to plant seeds and nurture them
Resource currencies: oil, gold, Bitcoin are watched with interest, based on dollar weakness
July and August, take breaks to prepare for September and October; please rest well
Even in summer, the market moves; we often receive reports that algorithm-driven computers are handling trades
Using the summer doldrums for BOX trading, but volatility declines; if you hold positions discretionary, you may fall into a swamp, so be careful. Rest slowly while keeping distance from the market. I am watching. Please rest assured!!
