Classic pattern of the kind-box method: enter on the kind-box after it breaks out in the opposite direction around the upper/lower edges of the market wave.
The following image explains both the standard pattern and the case where the kind-box is not formed.
There are both bold-frame kind-box and dotted versions; the trend-setting candles are 11 bars for the bold frame and 8 bars for the dotted setting.
Generally, more settings indicate stronger trend momentum, so the basis for entry becomes stronger in the direction of the trend.
On the right side of the image, where the downtrend occurs,
the kind-box is not formed, but prices rise slowly and then drop sharply in a short time.
At that time, a tall bold-frame down-kind-box appears. (Indicating a strong trend)
Ideally, it did not return to the 38.2% line; it bounced at the 15-minute MA.
I believe the 34 EMA is highly watched, so I consider this also valid, but
in the kind-box method, the entry is best on the next formed kind-box.
EUR-AUD on the 5-minute chart.
This also shows both the standard pattern and a case where the kind-box does not appear.
Descending signals and moving averages are used to determine a downtrend.
GBOUSD on the 5-minute chart.
This is a pattern of breaking out in the opposite direction of the standard kind-box, but it is advised to skip entry.
Judgment should be made after checking the higher time frame. Generally, the higher time frame takes priority.
It also explains entries from ranging zones.
