【Harvests Signal】Signal List for the Week of 2021/01/09
★ Trend-following detection strength: 15-minute trend-followingThis Week's Signal Overview
It's the first week of the new year.In the first half of the week volatility was low, leading to many false signals across currencies.
EURUSD
Generally favorable signals were issued. If you carefully select only the trend-following signals relative to the EMA, you won't suffer big losses.
USDJPY
Over 100 pips best signals appeared. There was only one false signal, which could have been avoided by strictly following the trend-following approach, making it the best week of the year.
GBPUSD
In a range market, all signals were quite tough. However, volatility was decent, so it was possible to quickly grab about 10–20 pips and exit.
EURJPY
Too many false signals, and even with strict trend-following the price quickly retraced. I marked some signals as having progressed, but in practice they’re not trustworthy.
GBPJPY
Similar to EURJPY, too many false signals, and even the genuinely strong signals couldn’t be trusted. In phases with many signals, it’s safer to avoid entries.
CHFJPY
Like EURJPY, too many false signals. The year-start cross-yen pairs are messy indeed…
USDCHF
The first half of the week had many harsh signals, but the second half produced stable signals.
EURCHF
About half of the signals were false, making avoidance difficult, but if you stick to trend-following you could manage to dodge them. In the latter part, signals are trend-following for M15, but for the higher-time-frame EMAs on H1 and H4 they’re counter-trend, so riding them requires a bit of courage.
GBPCHF
The same pattern as USDCHF. The first half was tough, but the latter half's signals were relatively good.
EURGBP
Tough to handle. In the first half’s extremely narrow range, false signals appeared with sharp up and down moves. As the false signals settle, it has improved, but signals were still hard to ride.
