EA for sale and non-sale (non-commercial) EA
I am an EA developer,
and actually, in the EA I developed,
・A commercially available EA
and
・A non-commercial EA
two exist.
I believe this is probably the same for other sellers as well.
What differentiates the two? Specifically,
it is the difference in the potential to generate future profits (probability).
The “commercially available EA” is also, of course,
a high-advantage, likely to yield a positive return with a fairly high probability,
and I list it as such, but
the “non-commercial EA” surpasses that even further,
to a level where you might think, “there is almost no chance of losing.”
This is the level of EA we’re talking about.
In other words, if it’s running, the likelihood of incurring losses in the future is very low,
and this is how the seller themselves views the EA.
Such EAs are not sold to many people intentionally,
and are used quietly and steadily to earn profits on the seller’s own account.
Normal sellers are likely to think this way.
FivePair, for example, falls exactly into the latter category of “non-commercial EA,”
and originally it was intended to be kept for personal use without selling it,
but as the flow was that I had already listed other EAs first,
well, I thought maybe I’d try listing it too…
and so I ended up listing this EA.
In this sense, this EA differs slightly from others,
and is positioned as a “class that is essentially non-commercial.”
Therefore, I believe you can fully understand that there is a limit on sales, such as “sale will be stopped after 200–300 copies sold.”
I hope you understand this as well.
