【FujiTomy】Nikkei average rebounds sharply for first time in five trading days; domestic investors rethink asset allocation
The Nikkei Stock Average rose for the first time in five trading days. It closed at 19,860.03 yen, up 209.46 yen (1.07%) from the previous day. With no obvious catalysts, large buy orders were observed from domestic and foreign institutional investors at the start of June. The Ministry of Finance's corporate statistics for January to March, released earlier in the morning, showed an increase in capital expenditure, which also supported the market.
TOPIX also rose, finishing up 17.77 points (1.13%) at 1,586.14. The trading value on the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section was 2 trillion 466.5 billion yen, and the trading volume was 1,738.30 million shares. The number of rising issues on the First Section was 1,620, falling 309, unchanged 88.
