Episode 195 “Changing the Future”
When investors are not satisfied with the current results, they want to change the future.
At such times, how can the future be changed? The current results are
the consequence of one’s past actions, and by recognizing this, the results can be changed by changing actions
to change the outcomes. However, people’s actions are often performed subconsciously, almost habitually,
and even if you want to change, it is not easy to do so. At such times,
the focus should be on your emotions = thoughts.
All human actions are carried out based on the brain’s commands, and at the center of these commands are emotions
and thoughts. In other words, the actions you have taken are what you have thought and felt.
Once you understand this connection, to change your actions, you need to change the underlying
emotions or thoughts that underlie them.
As one psychological concept, imagine the future version of yourself you want to become,
and then work backward to decide your current self and the actions you will take going forward.
If you adopt this approach, it does not matter how you thought or acted in the past; depending on what you want to become in the future,
you can choose your future actions. When you truly want to change the future,
this method is useful.
If you simply continue with your current emotions and actions, the future will not change much from the present and will continue as is. To change the future,
you need to change your emotions and actions. And you can start right now.
