“East Asia Economic Online Column Now Published” The simpler something is, the harder it is to truly understand.
Good morning, this is Matsuzaki.
Yesterday's NY Dow continued to rise, again reaching an all-time high.
It looks like another upward move is in the offing.
The Shanghai Composite rebounded sharply.
The USD/JPY retraced to the upper 111 yen area.
NY Gold is moving little.
This weekend, for the first time,
we will hold a seminar on the "Targeting Investment Theory,"
and I am rereading two books right now.
Both books are in their third reading, but
I realize that in the previous two readings, I understood nothing at all.
Until I truly understand the contents of one book and can apply them,
I suppose I have to reread it about ten times. (lol)
Among them, I have come to understand for the first time what candles and volume mean,
and I am astonished by it.
Even after investing for 16 years,
I still do not understand the simplest and most basic things.
Candlesticks are,
bullish candles represent buying power, and bearish candles represent selling power.
Volume is,
when it increases, the strength grows, and
when it decreases, the strength weakens.
By considering both,
and watching price movements carefully,
you can find the interesting energy that exists in the market.
The clue at that time is to observe changes.
In other words, a change from bullish to bearish is a shift from a strong buying state to a stronger selling state.
A change from bearish to bullish is the reverse.
A change from increasing to decreasing volume is a change from strength to weakness.
A change from decreasing to increasing volume is the reverse.
If you carefully connect these,
you will see astonishing facts emerge.
Candlesticks and volume, which are very simple things,
contain meanings so deep that people do not realize until much later.
Simple things are deeply meaningful, and
truly understanding them is difficult, I think.
However, because simple things have a strong nature,
once you understand them and can use them,
investment becomes one level stronger, perhaps two.
Without being swayed by superficial techniques or patterns,
let us deepen our understanding of the simple things.
There seems to be still an infinite amount of power sleeping there.
