MMA Weekly Report Nikkei Average Stock Price By Raymond Meriman Aug.31 2020
1. Retrospective
Last week, the market closed down 37 points from the previous week at 22,882. The week's high was on the 25th (Tuesday) at 23,431, and the low was on the 28th (Friday) at 22,594. Therefore, at the week's high it surpassed the weekly upper resistance line, but at the low it fell below the weekly lower support line, and at the close it moved between the weekly lower support line and upper resistance line, making for a mixed state. Since this closing price exceeded the Weekly Trend Indicator Point (TIP) for three consecutive weeks, in principle the trend should have been upgraded to an “uptrend,” but on a weekly basis the closing flip was bearish, so the underlying trend remains in a “neutral” state.
