How to identify a winning EA
Hello, this is Doctor Neko, and I appreciate your continued support.
As I mentioned before,
I have written about this a little before,
when evaluating the performance of an EA,
I believe you can roughly gauge the future potential of that EA by comparing the results of the author’s multiple EAs side by side,
to some extent.
For example, if the author has released 10 EAs,
and only one of them is performing well,
then no matter how well that particular EA's forward performance is,
you might understand that
“the long-term future may not be very promising.”
I think you can understand that.
In the past,
many profitable EAs have appeared and then drawn down again,
and
when you look at such EAs,
it becomes clear that
the author’s overall EA development ability
significantly influences the EA’s future prospects,
Of course,
it is also valuable to thoroughly examine that single EA,
but at the same time,
by checking the author’s multiple EAs,
the probability of avoiding “bad EAs” and selecting “good EAs”increases considerably.
Personally,
if 5 or more out of 10 are performing well,
I would judge that author as skilled.
(Since the market is uncertain and we won’t hit 100%, but
if you are creating EAs with a batting average of over 50% and an upward trend,
I would consider that person a very capable developer.)
In particular, when evaluating EAs with a short forward period,
adopting the above approach of checking multiple EAs
could greatly increase the likelihood of selecting the right EAs.m(_ _)m
