Always seeking trading opportunities using the mid-price and scalping Aggressive_Scalper_M1
Explanations about the Tokyo fix are being provided by people with backgrounds in financial institutions who appear in the media as well.
Of course, it has been used in trading for a long time, but as far as I know, about two years ago a certain blogger started to say that they were using the Tokyo fix in their own trades, and since about a year ago more people have begun to convert it into EAs, and toward the end of 2019 the number of such EAs suddenly increased.
Even though this is an EA that uses the Tokyo fix, there are few trading opportunities if you rely only on fix trades, so the developer Matsun's Aggressive_Scalper_M1_USDJPY aims to maximize opportunities by scalping at other times.
Ten months have passed since it began operating on GogoJungle, but if you look at the following real account utilization chart,
Real accounts active: 154
Purchases: 154
Real account utilization rate: 100%
and the traders using it are highly satisfied.
The two logics—Tokyo fix trading and scalping—are embedded in one EA; in a sense, it is a luxurious setup, but the scalping logic uses a 1-minute chart and performs the orthodox long-trend/short-term reversal approach, namely buying on dips and selling on rallies.
The other Tokyo fix trading logic enters and exits at advantageous fixed times, and among Matsun's configurations, there are three options for short entries: only on the Go-to date and Friday, on the Go-to date or Friday, and every day.
Long-entry logic trades only on the Go-to date and Friday.
The performance results of the two logics are continuing to perform well as shown below.
In the GogoJungle backtest of TDS spanning roughly 17 years, the equity curve shows a magnificent upward trend; however, if there is a discrepancy with the results, it is that the backtest maximum drawdown was ¥473,540.82 (5.87%), while the live results show ¥371,100 (23.29%).
