Attention on IMF-G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Conference! "Highlights on April 14 and Event Schedule"
Yesterday the Oceania and European markets were closed for Easter Monday, and in Europe, where lockdowns and stay-at-home restrictions to contain the coronavirus continue, the euro was sold heavily during the closures.
All eyes are on how the European markets will react when they reopen after the holidays today.
Besides the euro, the franc and the U.S. dollar were sold, while commodity/currency-sensitive currencies such as the Australian dollar, New Zealand dollar, and Canadian dollar were bought.
Additionally, crude oil prices, which had fallen well below expectations due to a significantly weaker-than-expected production-cut agreement, are holding firm in the 22-dollar range.
