December 6, 2019 (Friday) U.S. Employment Report Trade Update
Everyone, a bit early, thank you for your one week of trading.
How were your trading results?
Today is the year-end, featuring the familiar "feature" of a love for the U.S. Employment Situation Report.
During the U.S. Employment Situation, which happens on the first of every month,Yoshihiko TVI have been gratefully listening to it each month, and it has been very helpful.

AndYoshihiko TVwatching as the U.S. Employment Statistics are released, Nonfarm Payrolls came in at 266,000, well above the 180,000 expected, a surprising positive result, and revisions from the previous month were from 128,000 to 156,000, making it a strongly positive and surprising positive outcome.
Currently, the U.S. is close to full employment, and the unemployment rate, expected at 3.6%, came in at 3.5%, a positive result.
The average hourly earnings, which had drawn attention since about a year and a half ago as the U.S. economy began to recover, also beat expectations slightly with 0.2% vs 0.3% forecast, though the prior month was 0.2% to 0.4%, which was positive.
Overall, U.S. employment statistics were largely positive; however, the Canadian employment statistics released at the same time were very negative. Reflecting this, this time's employment trade involved not buying USD/JPY or EUR/USD but turning and buying USD/CAD, continuing to buy with pyramiding, and it was a rare large win for employment statistics.
Earlier, receiving a Matsusaka beef steak as a campaign prize from JFX seems to have paid off.
After this, at 24:00, the December University of Michigan consumer sentiment index preliminary figures for the U.S. were also due, so I closed out the U.S. employment trade early.
This year's U.S. employment trade was quite tough in the first half, but recovered in the latter half, and this year's final record is 7 wins and 3 losses (2 no-trade).
There is still a little time left in NY time, so have a nice weekend.
