Jojo Shiroi? Actually, the Japanese text translates as: "Shiroko Josef 'Rise'izm? ~ Video: Why are day-trade stocks and swing stocks different? ~"
Hello everyone. I am Akiko Shiro, the Kirameki Chartist.
It's December, isn't it? Only one month left in the year. Have you made plans for Christmas or the New Year?
For a wonderful year-end and New Year, let's keep working hard together for the remaining month!!
Now, in this video I answer the question: Why are day-trade stocks and swing-trade stocks different?
That's a very good question.
First, the differences between day trading and swing trading.
Day trading mainly involves day-to-day trading of stocks, bonds, etc., by individual investors.
It is characterized by being conducted in highly liquid markets.
Swing trading is a method that involves holding positions for a short period of about two to ten days.
If you hold for more than ten days, it becomes a short-term or medium-term investment, doesn’t it?
Considering this characteristic, I think stock selection changes as well.
When performing day trading, I choose from stocks with the latest price gain rankings or price-limit-up stocks, prioritizing technical analysis.
I aim for a single big wave and choose things that can ride the big wave.
On the other hand, for swing stocks, I not only consider technical analysis but also fundamentals.
With multiple and varying waves, if you can ride the trend, profits can be large. Moreover, by using counter-trend moves, losses can be kept smaller.
Additionally, when discussing mid- to long-term investments, fundamentals are basically prioritized. I choose stocks that seem likely to grow.
Therefore, stock selection is very important; if the stock price rises, you can obtain a large return, but if it doesn’t rise, you need to endure a little.
As such, stock selection mainly depends on the method you personally are using.
But the most important thing is the traders’ own skill!!
As your trading skill improves, day-trade stocks can become swing stocks, and swing stocks can become day-trade stocks.
Stock trading truly hinges on experience and technique. No matter the stock, practice to master the skill and gain experience.
From what I’ve observed in many people, stock selection is important, but it is even more crucial to clearly understand which trading method you are using.
Are you day trading? Swing trading? Long-term investing? I hope you clarify this for yourself.
I publish my daily trading on a blog.
