■ How to use MQL5 HPC

Step 1: Start MT5

▲ After logging into the virtual desktop, double-click the MT5 icon to start it. If asked, "Would you allow this app to make changes to your device?", click "No".

Step 2: Open the Strategy Tester

▲ On MT5, click the top tab "View" → "Strategy Tester". You can also display the Strategy Tester using the shortcut key (Ctrl+R).

Step 3: Open the screen to add the agent

▲ The Strategy Tester appears at the bottom of MT5, so select the "Agents" tab. Right-click on "Local Network Farm" and click "Add".

Step 4: Add the agent

▲ A screen to add agents will appear, so choose "Scan Network" and enter the start address "10.121.1.1", end address "10.121.1.254", and port "2000-2032", then click Next.

▲ You will then detect available backtest servers and be able to assign backtest tasks, so click Finish.

▲ You can see that the number of agents has increased to 32.

Step 5: Uncheck "Use Local Agent"
▲ Finally, right-click on "Local Network Farm; 32 agents" and uncheck "Use Local Agent". Make sure the "Use Local Network Farm" checkbox is checked.

The backtest server setup is complete. You will be able to run ultra-fast backtests by assigning backtest tasks to 32 CPU cores.
