Shōjō Akiko's Uptrend Ideology ~ Points for Overnightging in Day Trading ~
Hello everyone. I am Akiko Shiro, the Sparkling Chartist.
I had been 고민 about selecting stocks for this month’s Yukan Fuji Stock 1 Grand Prix, but I’ve finally finished submitting and I’m relieved.
Now, I will again send a video answering your questions.
This time, I answered the question: “Is there a way to tell when to day-trade with an overnight hold and when not to?”
When you’re day trading, you might have experiences like: it’s almost 3:00 PM, but a great wave is coming!! Should I hold it until tomorrow? What should I do?
It looks like it may go up further, but what to do… In such times, looking at the Sparkling Chart makes it obvious at a glance.
First of all, I want to tell you that I absolutely decide not to hold overnight in some cases.
One: considering geopolitical risks, I take profits and end the trade on days when the market is closed tomorrow, such as weekends and holidays.
Two: I do not hold over until the day before earnings. Even if earnings are good, if the hype has burned off, the stock can drop sharply and the movement is unpredictable, so I prioritise profit-taking on that day as well.
Three: the day before the ex-dividend date.
Profit is important, but reducing losses is also crucial in trading, so please take that into account.
Conversely, I decide to overnight by looking at moving averages, MACD, moving averages, and gradients.
The conditions for overnight are discussed in detail in the video, so please be sure to watch.
I post my daily trading on my blog. Blog here → https://ameblo.jp/bikabubikabu/
I’ll update again soon. Please also cheer on the Stock 1 Grand Prix!!
