If you want to win, do it! Either do it or not!
In the serialized ranking by monthly popularity, this serial was ranked 6th, and the FX member blog was 3rd.
In the paid ranking, it was 2nd.
Thank you everyone, as always.
First place is the unshakable “FXportal.com”, isn’t it?
Japan’s only FX specialty magazine “FXportal.com”.
When I met the editor-in-chief and talked with him, I said:
“You’re always number one in the rankings, aren’t you? I can’t seem to become number one.”
Then the editor-in-chief said:
“We invest money and effort accordingly.”
From hearing various stories, I thought, “There’s definitely a reason for it.”
Being always #1, at the top, means there’s always a reason for it.
They are doing something worthy of being number one. In a sense, it’s an expected result.
I don’t usually feel jealousy.
If someone is amazing, I think they’re the kind of person who deserves to be there.
Amazing people tend to be doing more than ordinary people.
If you can’t be there, it’s because you haven’t been doing it.
If you haven’t been doing it, you shouldn’t expect to get there.
The place you are now is the place that suits you now.
When I was invited for the first time to the home of a “happily rich” person,
they taught me their ways of thinking, values, and many things.
That made me think.
“This person is happy and rich because they deserve to be. In other words, it’s the natural result.”
On the other hand,
“If this person were unhappy and poor, that would be strange!”
Cause and effect. There’s only natural results. Nothing anomalous happens.
Trading is the same.
People who are winning are doing things worthy of winning.
People who can’t win aren’t doing things worthy of winning.
Do it, or don’t.
Horiemon, aka Takafumi Horie, is also doing vastly more than ordinary people, right?
Because he’s doing vastly more than typical people, he achieves results beyond ordinary people.
GACKT is said to be Mr. Perfect by many, speaking many languages and excelling in many things.
Even GACKT didn’t simply rely on talent to do things effortlessly.
He says he learns slower than others.
“I’m incredibly clumsy and it takes me six hours to do something that others can do in three hours.”
“People take three hours, I take six, but that’s fine.”
“I’ll train for twelve hours.”
“Then I’ll advance twice as much as you—I think like that.”
You’ll find people who say they can’t do it because they don’t have talent.
They can’t do it because they say they can’t, and they don’t try.
Even people who seem to have talent and can do it easily are actually working hard.
Even among professionals, the top-tier ones do more than others.
For example in baseball or soccer, if you study those deemed top, you’ll see they’re doing more than others.
The same in the world of manga.
Once there was a boy who aspired to become a manga artist.
At 17, his short manga won a near-entry award and a editor was assigned to him.
He thought he could start serialization soon.
But no matter how many times he drew, it was rejected.
His confidence eventually waned.
He began to think, “A person who becomes a manga artist is born to be one.”
It was shocking to think he would never become a manga artist.
He believed only those born with talent could become manga artists, and felt he had no talent.
Still, he kept drawing, but it was sporadic and inconsistent.
He collapsed and couldn’t move his body for about a week.
He thought about giving up on becoming a manga artist.
He considered, “Could I become a salaryman from now on?”
At that moment, his editor said to him,
“I’ve never seen someone work so hard and not be rewarded. There will be a day when you are rewarded.”
That was the moment he cried.
“I’ll work hard again!”
He relearned story creation from scratch and continued drawing manga.
And finally, serialization came, in the form of the manga One Piece.
One Piece, the best-selling manga in Japan. It didn’t sell because of talent alone; he did more than others.
People who achieve better results do more than others; there is a reason behind it.
Recently I learned about Roland, the host.
On TV, he may seem funny because of his witty sayings, but he is actually a hard-working, performing person.
Even this egoist struggles for a year
That one month, two months, six months
If you say it’s already impossible, you won’t get anywhere
by Roland, the Emperor of the modern host scene
The modern host world’s emperor reveals the shocking life in his apprenticeship days.
You all aren’t cowards, right?
Too easy
The apprenticeship is something everyone goes through
The days of hard work and struggle are like a treasure to that person
In the moments when you’re desperately working, it’s painful, but
Looking back later, it becomes a treasure inside you
Back then we had no money and weren’t cool
But at least we had a clear dream
So everyone, keep pushing
If you want to win, do it! Do it or don’t!
Those who do what is worthy of winning will eventually win. A natural cause and effect.
