Good morning, this is Matsushita.
"I can't believe in you, Matsushita."
This is a direct remark from one of the participants at a seminar I lectured in January.
In that seminar,
with the theme "Overcome your weaknesses,"
a workshop was held, and during the activity,
one participant answered and this phrase came out.
That person, while reading the weekly report I write,
was troubled by the feeling that they couldn't quite follow the report's instructions,
and when I asked the reason,
this phrase appeared.
Of course, in a seminar venue with nearly 50 people,
to be told face to face, "I can't believe in you,"
it was a momentary setback, but I quickly recovered and said,
"That's right. In investing,
it's not easy to honestly trust others.
That feeling is important.
Rather than suddenly trusting others,
let's carefully verify and evaluate first."
I advised.
That person didn't have any ill intent,
and with my first words, "That's right,"
the whole venue was engulfed in laughter.
Nevertheless, this feeling is truly important.
If you are told something like "this will be profitable" without any basis,
or evidence, you should not believe it.
If you did,
money would disappear in an instant.
Instead,
"Will this really yield profits?
How will it benefit my own investments?"
you need to carefully verify for yourself.
After going through that period of verification,
if you determine that it is worth believing,
then, at that time, it will truly empower you.
"I can't believe it."
It was truly a good phrase.
A feeling I hope investors cherish.
However, if you cannot believe in anything at all,
you won't be able to make profits from investing.
Because there is something to believe in,
you adopt it and continue, thereby making profits.
In that seminar as well,
I told all the participants in the venue about this.
"Please encounter something you can believe in for yourself.
That only exists at the end of a continuous series of actions."
I thought it would be helpful, so
I shared what I believe.
"I believe in trends.
I believe in cycles.
I believe in money management and rules,
and I believe in the past verifications I have conducted.
Thus, investors increase what they can believe in,
and they raise their profits.
You may not be able to believe in anything right now, but
please increase the things you can believe in, one by one.
Ultimately,
to believe in yourself,
is called having confidence.
