Is the United States not in a situation to cut rates? [From Mr. YEN-kura's newsletter]
From the investment newsletter "Real Top Trading" by YEN Kura-san provided by GogoJungle, here is a portion from this morning's dispatch.
The President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, James Bullard, stated that the situation does not call for a 0.5% rate cut, causing US 10-year Treasury yields to rise from 1.982% to 2.005% and the dollar to rebound. I have shorted the EUR/USD around 1.1370.
YEN Kura's Real-Time Newsletter "Real Top Trading" (Gaku Tadashi)quote.
Since the FOMC, expectations for rate cuts had been increasing, but it does not seem to be a situation where cuts will be decided smoothly. (Editorial staff)
