There are well-known experiments showing that even if part of a photo is swapped, many people cannot find the difference for a while when comparing the images.
On a chart, this is like overlaying multiple indicators and your eyes darting around. While you are looking at one line, changes displayed elsewhere may enter your field of vision but not stay in your head.
The more places you look, the more opportunities there are to miss the change.
Changes are better told to you than searched for
Change blindness cannot be prevented by willpower alone, so it’s easier to have a screen that notifies you of changes.
