Episode 26: Without switching the time frame, I created SL_MTM to view the higher-timeframe moving average
ShenLong Lab (Shenron Lab) is Shenron.
For first-time visitors, please allow me to introduce myself briefly.
As an active trader who continuously generates monthly profits with my own indicators, I have developed over 1,000 indicators and automation tools to date.
ShenLong Lab's second release, the 11th item of “Market Compass”
“SL_MTM (Multi Time MA)” has been released.
This time, I’ll discuss the reason I created this item and tips for confirming higher-timeframe moving averages on MT4/MT5.
This time, I’ll talk about why I created this item and tips for checking the moving averages on higher timeframes in MT4/MT5.
Are you switching the timeframe every time you check the higher-timeframe MA?When considering an entry, the position of the higher-timeframe moving averages cannot be determined from the current chart alone.
I myself used to switch timeframes to confirm the higher-timeframe moving averages.
I used to switch timeframes to verify the higher-timeframe moving averages.
A workaround using standard features- Switch the timeframe to confirm the position of the higher-timeframe moving averages
- Place charts of different timeframes side by side and compare the moving average positions
- Whenever you overlap moving averages, recalculate and re-enter the period (e.g., on a 1-minute chart, a 20-period moving average on a 5-minute chart equals 100 periods)
All of these involve switching between timeframes or manually recalculating and re-entering periods.
Every time you switch timeframes, your eyes drift away from the chart.
The higher-timeframe moving averages should be viewed overlaid on the currently displayed chart.
That is why SL_MTM was created.
From here on, I will introduce how to use SL_MTM in a video.
