Episode 25: I created SL_MTB to view the higher-timeframe resistance band (Bollinger Bands) without switching the timeframe
ShenLong Lab's Shenlong.
For newcomers, please allow me to introduce myself a little.
As a active trader who continues to generate monthly profits with self-made indicators, I have developed over 1,000 indicators and automation tools to date.
ShenLong Lab's second release, the 10th item in "Market Compass"
"SL_MTB (Multi Time Bollinger)"
has been released.
This time, I will talk about why I created this item and tips for confirming higher-timeframe resistance zones (Bollinger bands) in MT4/MT5.
In that position on the 1-minute chart, where is it on the higher-timeframe bands? When the 1-minute candle reaches the Bollinger Bands ±2σ,
where that location corresponds on the 5-minute or 1-hour bands is not clear from the 1-minute chart alone.
I myself would switch timeframes before entering to confirm the higher-timeframe bands.
- Switch the timeframe to confirm the position of the higher-timeframe Bollinger bands
- Line up charts of different timeframes side by side and compare band positions
- Overlay multiple Bollinger bands, adjusting the period to multiple times the higher timeframe (e.g., on a 1-minute chart, 5-minute period 50 becomes 250)
All of these involve switching timeframes or manually recalculating and re-entering periods.
Each time you switch the timeframe, your eyes move away from the chart.
The higher-timeframe band should be viewed superimposed on the currently displayed chart.
That is why SL_MTB was created.
From here on, the usage of SL_MTB will be demonstrated in a video.
