How is GOLD trading at the start of the week?
This time, while holding a major trend on higher timeframes, I will share a scene that occurred on the short-term 5-minute chart (M5) of“cloud break and pressure breakout from a micro-trend”.
■ A sharp rise after a small loss (−89.3 pips) due to “cloud break × pressure 69.8%”
・Just prior SELL signal: logic[2] triggered by a dotted trailing−89.3 pips small stop-out
・Basis for reversal: break of the descending line +transition to rising cloud (cloud break)＋pressure tank BUY 69.8%
・Higher timeframe (H4) situation:★[1+2+3] SELL +5,360.8 pips open
Looking at the MTF dashboard at the top right, everything from M15 to D1 is in a downtrend (especially H4 sums to＋5,360.8 pips extended)
In M5, initially the high-timeframe-aligned retrace selling logic[2] also lit up.
But unable to make a new low, it broke through a micro-trend line with a downward move, and due to a dotted trailing,“−89.3 pips” shallow wound automatically exited.
What is noteworthy is the movement immediately after that.
『KU-HAKU SIRO』 suppresses auto short BUY signals while the higher timeframe is in a downtrend to prevent whipsaws, but looking at the chart environment,“① break of the descending line”“② cloud break from a bearish cloud (pink) to a rising cloud (light blue)”“③ pressure tank BUY 69.8% vs SELL 25.0% and buying pressure dominating”three conditions align simultaneously.
A scene where a short-signal is barely cut and the cloud break and pressure imbalance coincide tends to trigger quick short-covering (short squeeze), and this time also retraced from around 3905 to around 3950a single spike of nearly 450 pips.
