After a round-ro-round of 24 hours, the strongest was "Monday morning buy."
Hello, this is Naoto. Since today is Monday, I’m talking about Monday mornings.
Previously, I once examined the 24 hours of a USD/JPY day, hour by hour.
For each hour in Japan time, I counted whether it rose or fell during that hour. I divided by day of the week and whether it was end of the month, with the time span from 2004 to 2026. Moreover, I split it into three periods to see if the same direction appeared in all periods.
And the strongest signal was buying in the 7 o’clock hour on Monday.
On average, it rose by 3.43 pips per hour. In all three periods, it was up: 1.95, 4.06, and 7.17 pips, respectively. And it’s strongest in the most recent period.
Just by looking at the numbers, the result is that buying at 7 a.m. on Monday and selling at 8 a.m. would be profitable.
Honestly, when I saw this, I was a bit excited.
