[Weekly・Finance AI Research] If AI moves 24 times, does it trade 24 times? Differences between instruction confirmation, signals, and execution
Conclusion: 24 AI confirmations and 24 signals do not mean 24 buy/sell trades
“If the AI agent moved 24 times, and another record also shows 24 items, does that mean 24 buy/sell trades were made?” That cannot be concluded. The instruction confirmations reported on the morning of November 1 and the REALTIME 24 items from the evening of October 31 are based on different targets and time periods. Do not equate the same 24 with each other; the conclusion is to separate instruction confirmations, candidates, orders, and fills.
In Sunday's review, we will specify what it means that the AI moved. Whether the process of reading the instruction box and saving progress moved, whether candidates were created from market data, or whether the decision to issue to the EA was handed off will change the meaning. The research approach is to advance the discussion to the stage of proving real account results while evaluating that one step of the process has progressed.
Evidence 1: The 24 in the morning is a regular execution of instruction confirmation
The November 1 06:10 JST handoff states that between October 31 07:03 and November 1 06:03 JST, an existing instruction-confirmation agent performed 24 executions. Each execution here corresponds to the instruction confirmation and the report-updating process. It does not indicate the number of postings by the EA. To avoid counting other operational steps as trading performance, we will specify the unit.
This document notes that execution times vary for the specified period and that exact timed execution is not confirmed. Even if there is a record of 24 movements, it does not mean all time requirements were met. The practice of leaving evidence for each step—start, end, receipt, update, rollback—applies to financial AI validation as well. However, success in instruction exchange does not substitute for success in order routing.
Evidence 2: The 24 in the evening are REALTIME candidate records
In the edited master that closed at 18:33:59 JST on October 31, REALTIME covers 24 events up to 05:15 on the same day, with 6 BUY and 18 SELL. The breakdown of alert levels is 2 for 0, 8 for 1, and 14 for 2. This is a breakdown of candidate records, not a win/loss breakdown. The alert numbers are not to be equated with actual losses or the number of executions.
The scope of REALTIME search and the preceding instruction-confirmation 24-run period do not match. The former ends by early morning October 31, while the latter runs from the morning of October 31 to the next morning. Even if the numbers match by coincidence, there is no one-to-one correspondence confirmed. Without the original IDs and timestamps, we do not sum them to 48 processes or assume all 24 moves proceeded to trading.
Instruction confirmation 24: Operational process from 10/31 07:03 to 11/1 06:03 JST
REALTIME 24: Candidate events up to 05:15 on 10/31
Orders/tickets/occurrences: not confirmed from the above counts
Settlements/fees/currencies: verify corresponding trading original records separately
Waiting 356 rows and 72 observations are also separate units
In the supplementary material for October 31, the direct audit from 00:00:02 to 05:55:15 JST lists all 356 rows as WAITING. The reason for waiting is either missing or locked, with either being unspecified. Row 356 is an audit count, not a report of 356 trading order failures. It is not confirmed whether multiple audit rows belong to a single candidate.
Structural observations cover 72 observations from 00:00:01 to 05:55:15 JST; closed24h_valid is true in 0 observations, M1 true in 14, and M5, M15, H1 true in 72 each. These are observation flags in the material. M5 being true 72 times does not mean 100% predictive accuracy, nor does M1 being true 14 times mean 14 wins. We separate the conditions for establishment from the evaluation of prediction hits or misses.
| Confirmation target | Documented information | Unconfirmed range |
|---|---|---|
| Instruction confirmation | 24 executions from morning to next morning | A separate operational process from orders, executions, and profits |
| REALTIME | Up to 24 events by early morning, 6 BUY and 18 SELL | EA acceptance for the same candidate and ticket handling |
| direct audit | All 356 audit rows WAITING | Cause of missing or locked, possible duplication of candidates |
| structural observations | 72 observations, M1 true 14, M5 true 72 | Impact on prediction accuracy, executions, and profits |
Distinguishing whether AI skipped it or it was not delivered
Simply seeing WAITING cannot determine whether the AI looked at the market and held back, whether data was insufficient and waited, or whether the decision did not reach the EA. In this material, the distinction between ledger gaps and locks remains incomplete. Explaining all waiting as a cautious risk-management outcome could present processing unconfirmed statuses as investment success.
On the other hand, having waiting rows does not prove that AI is completely non-functional. The exact stage of observation is missing. Methodologically, we must track input received, decision made, EA received, and order accepted within the same trial. We will not borrow success records from another day to fill in the missing steps for this one.
Limitation: we do not extrapolate zero trades to all time periods without any trading
The October 31 18:33:59 JST tally reports zero accounts, zero profit/loss, zero target EAs, zero open positions, and balance reconciliation true. The 18:32:57 JST heartbeat observation also notes zero holdings, zero scans, and zero magic discrepancies. These reflect the verification scope at that moment and do not independently confirm that there were no trades across all time periods the next morning.
Additionally, not finding ACK, TICKET_SIGNAL, results, or position mappings in this day's exploration does not prove that no records exist in all environments. There are limitations in where and how we searched. Distinguishing a zero observation from an unobserved status prevents artificially favorable zero or success-rate results.
The main material states that trading specifications or live deployment did not change during the targeted period. There is no basis to infer new trading logic based on continued periodic execution of instruction confirmations. It is important not to lump together AI directive management, market judgment models, and EA execution processing under a single AI label.
Next verification item: trace one candidate ID to the end
In the next record, for naturally occurring candidates, we must cross-check input times, AI responses, EA reception, order tickets, executions, and settlements along the same ID flow. If any step was skipped, we record the reason and conditions, distinguishing incomplete data or awaiting receipt. If retries or reprocessing of past data are included, we clearly define the boundary for counting a single instance and remove duplication.
The final results should include quantity, currency, fees, swaps, and attribution to the target EA. The number of times a process moved should remain as operational facts, and judgments about quality and profitability should be evaluated after the corresponding results align. The takeaway this week is to align the definitions and observation periods for each item rather than forcing the same 24 as a single meaning.
Supplement on November 1 at 18:30: Next week, we will verify a single thread of evidence rather than the count
The biweekly evening verification window is from October 26 00:00 to November 1 18:30 JST. The new account score, open positions, results, and broker history as of November 1 19:00 remain unconfirmed, and we do not reallocate the previous day’s zero item to today’s zero item. For October 31 candidate 24 cases, the ACK, TICKET_SIGNAL, result, and position entities from that day’s updates could not be confirmed, and the individual reasons why each did not proceed to a trade candidate remain unresolved.
① Account: reconstruct all settlements within the week from fresh scores or history, per-item
② Path: after ledger restoration, verify target range → signal → ACK → ticket → result along the same path
③ Natural trades: confirm the exit order and loss protection of SX v1.09 deployed on October 30
④ Material: read back video footage, entrance/exit images, and metadata for the same ticket and signal_id via Drive

Regarding recordings, the master notes that it cannot confirm a formal dated folder from October 26 to November 1. In the current Drive list, the latest trading material is September 19, and there is no date folder for the verification window. This reflects unconfirmed status within the confirmed material repository, and does not prove that videos do not exist on any device. Having material locally alone does not constitute completion; we will proceed with source verification against the same trade and Drive-back retrieval. We will not embed another day’s actual recording as evidence in this document.
