【10/30 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】
Good work everyone! Let’s go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently USD/JPY is around 157.60. The session started around 157.65 in the morning, but during the Tokyo session it passed through the Bank of Japan Monetary Policy Meeting and Prime Minister Kuroda’s press conference.
There were moments when it briefly fell to around 157.10, but it quickly returned to pre-announcement levels. By the way, the stance remains unchanged.
Additionally, after headlines about possible attacks on Iran following the Israeli election results, crude oil prices surged. Some view that as dollar buying pressure.
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to the overseas session near the morning level.
Now, tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points (my notes).
● Movement near the 16:00 London market open
● Movement near the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

Other notes ..
・Be cautious with headlines related to Middle East tensions and crude oil prices

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping strategy” will focus on the movements around the London and New York market opens, since there are no highly anticipated US indicators or events on the schedule. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” I think there should be no problem handling it according to the theory. Keep in mind that after the US FOMC and BOJ meeting there could be stalemate.
Also, if you’re aiming for shorts with the “15-minute scalping strategy,” wait for a slight pullback and look to sell around 157.60–157.70 or lower, then short downward. If broken, no-trade. Today’s Tokyo low is around 157.10.
By the way, recent news,Recently, Mr. Gogojan traveled all the way to my office to interview me about “scalping.” I’m grateful. I spoke briefly, so feel free to watch when you have time.

Because scalping aims for small profit margins, people often think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that’s not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and around the New York market open.
・London market open time (US daylight saving time 16:00– / US standard time 17:00–)
・New York market open time (US daylight saving time 22:00– / US standard time 23:00–)
Volatility remains high and opportunities arise right after US indicators/events are released. However, in the minutes immediately after the release, spreads can widen, so the rule is to enter only after spreads return to normal.
Always check the US indicators and events schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities will come helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning just before US indicators/events are released. If you go against them, you’ll suffer. You can be wiped out in an instant. Carelessness is not acceptable, absolutely not.
US indicators/events schedules can be checked on each broker’s website, etc.
Of course, there are many other points besides these three, but I’ve discussed the essential points you should at least keep in mind when scalping USD/JPY.
