Takao Kabuki, the CEO of Kabushiki Kaisha Investment Daily, a pioneer in astrology market analysis and a leading expert in financial cycle analysis, writes a weekly report on gold price outlook.

Last week’s New York gold price (front month) closed at 4,007.9 dollars, down 173.2 dollars from the prior week. In the spot market, the close fell below 4,000 dollars to 3,995.38 dollars. This is a very tough situation for the bulls. At the same time, our four-year cycle bottom is being tested. As I said last week, “Looking at the spot gold weekly chart, the support around 4,000 dollars tested several times in June–July appears quite strong, and the view that a four-year cycle bottom is forming here has not been undermined. However, it cannot be denied that a second bottom could still be forming, so the downside may still be limited. On a weekly basis, gold tends to make lows in October as an anomaly, so if this continues, we should anticipate a setup aiming for a double bottom as October rate hikes become more likely.”
However, expectations are growing that the October FOMC policy will remain on hold, with a central view that the rate hike will be delayed to December. There is also speculation that further rate hikes could occur by March 2027. Although the lows have not yet been updated, the four-year cycle bottom has become questionable.
