[Today’s USD/JPY] Battle in the 158-yen range! Still, the reason I’m not rushing into a long position
USD/JPY is in the 158 yen range. But I will wait until the buying conditions are in place!
Yesterday, USD/JPY fell to as low as 157.83. After that, it recovered to the 158 yen range.
However, I still cannot judge that it has returned to a clear uptrend.
? Why did USD/JPY fall?
There are mainly two reasons.
① US long-term interest rates fell, leading to dollar selling.
② With reports about peace negotiations between the US and Iran, crude oil prices fell. Later, reports that an agreement was near were denied, and USD/JPY narrowed its downside.
? Today’s notable price
158.95: Noted as resistance on the upside
158.17: Yesterday's close
157.52: Key level to watch if it falls
There is a possibility of rising, and also a possibility of falling again.
That’s why I don’t want to rush.
✅ My trading rules
① Basics are long only
Don’t chase shorts aggressively in a declining market.
② Confirm direction with 15-minute and 5-minute charts
Wait for an uptrend where highs and lows are rising.
③ Aim for pullbacks on the 1-minute chart
Don’t jump in on momentum alone; confirm supports or buy signals.
④ Always set a stop loss
Before aiming for profits, decide where you will exit.
? Finally
In FX, the most dangerous thing is not missing a chance, but rushing and breaking your own rules.
I think 3–4 trades per month are enough.
Even if it goes up, don’t rush. Even if it goes down, don’t jump in.
Survive no matter what.
Today, I will continue to value this mindset.
When USD/JPY is moving, can you wait?
