Dollar-JPY rises to 158.55 yen as US 10-year yields rise.

In Tokyo time, the USD/JPY fell to 157.70 yen briefly as the Nikkei average declined157.70. Thereafter, as the Nikkei’s drop narrowed and U.S. Treasuries rose in after-hours trading10, it rose to 158.14 yen. In European time, due to riots following large demonstrations in France at the end of last week, there was selling of the euro and buying of the dollar.NYtime, U.S.10year Treasuries yield5.14% range, sending USD/JPY to158.55yen.
