Why the EA doesn't enter even when the sign appears — answering common questions in order
Even though an arrow appeared, the accompanying EA didn’t do anything. Could it be a malfunction, and you opened the inquiry screen? Where should you confirm when you’re just starting out, in areas that tend to cause confusion?
When the Sign Tool and the EA are included in one product, it’s easy to think they will perform the same actions.
When I was first asked that, I thought, “There wasn’t enough explanation in that part.”(;'∀')
Good evening!
I’m Masashi^^
This time, we will answer in order the questions that people who start using the Golden Line Sniper AI frequently ask.
The most common question is, “The sign appeared, but the EA didn’t enter trades.”
The Sign Tool shows candidates, the EA executes only when conditions are met. They have different roles.
? Q. If the sign appeared but the EA didn’t enter, is it a malfunction?
This is almost never a malfunction.
The actual trading of candidate signs and the attached EA are designed not to be the same in number or timing.
The Sign Tool shows situations that seem worthwhile to verify in larger quantities.
The EA, from among those, trades only when the EA-side trading conditions, risk settings, spread, and holding status are all satisfied.
Therefore, even if an arrow appears, there are normal cases where the EA passes on the trade.
If you think of it as the role that shows candidates and the role that actually places orders being decided separately, it becomes easier to understand.
Record example: 【Arrow: appeared / EA: did not enter / Spread at that moment: wider than usual / Verdict: not a malfunction, but passed】
? Q. Which should you use first, the Sign Tool or the EA?
In short, start with the Sign Tool.
Golden Line Sniper AI is a tool専用 for GOLD charts in MT5, used on GOLD charts.
The main tool is the Sign Tool, where you can verify AI focus line, candidate signs, AI diagnostic panel, remaining time of the candles, etc.
The included EA lets you adjust risk settings, simple interest and compound interest, and turn entry on/off from the chart panel.
Operation formats can be chosen: EA stop, automatic take profit, manual take profit (semi-discretionary).
Starting with the Sign Tool is recommended because if money moves before you’re used to the screen, you won’t understand what you were unsure about.
If you use the EA, also start with a demo account or a small amount to check its movement, spreads, and how quantities appear.
Start with the Sign Tool for the first week to get used to the screen, and use the EA on a demo or a small amount to observe its movements.

? Q. If an arrow appears, can I enter immediately?
This is often asked as well, but I don’t enter trades based only on the arrow.
An arrow is a cue to “please verify this moment,” not a conclusion to enter.
When an arrow appears, decide for yourself whether to check whether you’re near the line you planned to watch, or whether the exit position is defined.
If you can write both as, for example, “Near the line: yes / Exit position: outside that line,” then proceed; if you cannot, pass.
Because we show more candidates, there are days when more arrows are passed than acted upon.
That’s normal!
✅ Q. In the first week, how should I use it?
Personally, in the first week I prioritize understanding the meaning of the displays over increasing the number of orders.
・Confirm the name and role of each display
・When an arrow appears, check the distance to the line being watched
・Leave a single-line note for arrows that didn’t enter
Notes can be as short as, for example, 【Arrow: near the upper line / Skip: exit position not determined】.
After a week, review those notes to confirm in what situations you were skipping trades.
The key is not how many times you entered, but whether you could consistently verify in the same order each time you saw an arrow.
⚠ Q. There is too much display, I don’t know where to look
This is a very common concern in the early days.
Displays can be turned on or off with the chart’s buttons, so initially it’s fine to reduce what you look at.
If it were me, I’d start with AI focus line and candidate signs.
As you get used to it, add the AI diagnostic panel and remaining time one by one.
Trying to memorize everything at once makes it hard to know which display you used to decide.
Add one at a time and keep it for about a week before adding another.
? Q. Can I use it for other GOLD-related instruments besides GOLD?
In short, at this point it’s designed for GOLD.
Since lines and displays are drawn based on GOLD’s price movements, it may not look the same with other instruments.
We don’t currently recommend using it for instruments other than GOLD.
First, please try using it on the GOLD chart, that’s what we tell people.
❌ Q. Will it yield the same results as backtesting?
This cannot be guaranteed to produce the same results.
Backtests verify with historical data, but do not promise future profits.
In actual trading, results vary with the broker, spreads, order execution speed, time of day, and quantity.
That’s why when using the EA, you should first test with a demo account or a small amount to observe how it behaves in your environment.
Past verifications are one factor among others and do not guarantee future profits.
? Q. Who is this not suited for?
It is not suitable for people who want to enter trades without thinking when a sign appears or who want to completely leave it to automation.
I think it does not suit those who do not want to decide the stop loss or the position size themselves.
On the other hand, it should be easy for those who want to organize the places to watch on GOLD charts or who want to verify the reasons for passing.
Whether to enter or pass remains your final decision, regardless of the usage method.
? Summary: When in doubt, first confirm the difference in roles
Why the EA doesn’t enter when a sign appears is because the roles of showing candidates and placing orders are different.
Before suspecting a malfunction, recall EA-side conditions such as spread and holding status.
In the beginning, start with the Sign Tool, and with the EA use a demo account or a small amount.
Use the arrow as a cue to verify, and decide whether to enter based on whether you can write the near line and the exit position.
Whether you perform this check with a manual, cross-checking against the manual, or with a single-screen tool that consolidates everything, either approach is fine.
If you have any questions, please attach a full-screen screenshot and ask.
I can answer questions about displays and settings.
During the first week, try leaving a one-line note for each time you skip an arrow^^
