Decide on one thing to look at while you’re in it: a foolproof procedure that prevents hesitation after entering
Right after entering, a small push can scare you, and you might not settle immediately. How can you avoid wavering while you hold it?
Seeing the screen stretch to the location you were thinking of after you’ve let go is truly painful.
On another day, in front of a collapsed pattern, you still keep looking for materials that might return, don’t you?
Before you enter, you looked so carefully, but as soon as you enter, your judgment becomes scattered.
Many people can relate to this way of breaking down.
Good evening!
I’m Masashi^^
Last time, I wrote about finding small losses that repeat in the same shape every week by lining them up by count.
As I opened each identified shape one by one, I found that many of them broke after entering rather than before entry.
This time, continuing that, I’ll talk about what you look at while you’re holding it.
Before you enter, I decide on one place to look at while holding it, and I write it in one line.
✅ On the day I let go with a small push, it then extended
I used to have days like this a lot in the past.
It was the day I entered after confirming that the push near the upper-timeframe wall had paused on the lower-timeframe.
I also looked at the distance to the wall, placed a stop, and considered where to exit.
The pre-entry checks were fairly careful.
But right after entering, a small push appeared on the lower timeframe.
Most of the unrealized profit disappeared, and it nearly went slightly negative.
There was still quite a distance to the stop loss.
Still, I became scared and decided to close with my own hand before touching the placed stop (;'∀')
After that, the price finished the push and straightened out to the place I had originally anticipated.
✅ The pre-entry check was correct, and the breakdown occurred from the way I viewed it while holding it.
✅ Record at that time: [Reason to enter was correct / I became scared by a single push on the lower timeframe / I exited before the stop loss]
❌ A day when I gathered signs that it would revert
There were days like the opposite as well.
The shape I used as the reason to enter clearly collapsed that day.
If it were the shape I had planned before entering, I would have exited here.
But at that moment I started looking for other materials inside the screen.
・If the move is slightly bigger, the trend is still continuing
・Earlier I also pushed back from a similar point
・This time period feels prone to reverting
If you search, you’ll find materials that look likely to rebound fairly often.
Each time you find one, your exit is pushed back a little further as you decide to hold a bit longer.
In the end, I touched the level I had placed before entering and finished there.
The stop loss itself was a normal cost paid at the placed position.
✅ The problem wasn’t the stop loss; it was ignoring the broken reality during the hold time.
❌ Inner dialogue when holding a long: [The shape is broken, but other materials still look like they might revert]
? Too early and too stubborn both crumble at the same place
The first day was where I cut too early.
The second day was where I held on for too long.
At first glance, they seem like opposite failures, right?
If you line up the records, both collapsed in the same place.
On both days, before entering, I hadn’t decided what I would watch and judge while holding.
I often hear about worries like taking profits too early, or being whipsawed back, and so on.
I feel that the roots of these two are often the same place.
✅ In my case, both early exits and stubborn holds happened when the yardstick for holding wasn’t decided.
? Commonality: [Judgment during holding was entrusted to the screen at that moment and my emotions]
? Looking at the screen continuously makes everything a decision material
If you hold without deciding what to look at, what happens?
In my case, everything that appeared on the screen became a decision factor.
Even small pushes on the lower timeframe, small retracements, and even news headlines—all of it.
When you’re scared, you see scary materials.
When you don’t want to let go, you see materials that you don’t have to let go of.
It’s not that you’re choosing what to look at so much as your feelings pick and the materials accumulate afterward.
No, it might be closer to your feelings are decided first, and the materials then gather afterward.
✅ If you haven’t decided where to look, the order of judgments tends to start with your feelings.
? The flow on days of watching: [scare / seek scary materials / found / exit]
? Buy first, hesitate later
“Buy first, hesitate later”is a phrase I have seen.
It wasn’t a trading talk, but this is exactly it, isn’t it?
Judgments while holding should be decided before you hold.
If the reason to enter is [the push has paused], then when that reason breaks, the lower price should have broken its low.
So while holding, you only look at that low.
Even if the lower timeframe makes a small push, if it hasn’t broken the low, I won’t change my judgment.
Also, for creating something, there’s talk about deciding in advance what you will confirm along the way before you start.
If you start without deciding, you’ll be pulled by everything you see along the way.
✅ The judgments while holding are written in one line before you hold.
? Example of one line: [Look only at the push’s low. If the lower timeframe’s close breaks that low, exit]
? How to create the one line to enter
What you need to do is less than you think.
Before opening the order screen, decide on four things:
• Reason to enter
• Facts that appear on the screen when it collapses
• One point to look at while holding
• Exit location
In my notebook, it usually looks like this.
【Reason to enter: a push stops before the wall / Look at: only the low of that push / Exit fact: the lower timeframe’s close breaks the low / Exit location: before the next wall on the higher timeframe】
Once you write this, what you do while holding is only to confirm the single point you will look at and the exit location.
There are also tools that make the wall location visible for you.
As one of the confirmations when deciding the exit location, I look at the display.
However, tools do not make decisions for you. Writing one line and deciding to exit at that single point is still you.
✅ Enter reason, exit fact, one point to look at, and exit location are written before the order.
? Format: 【Reason to enter: … / Look at: … / Exit fact: … / Exit location: …】
⚠ Do not include feelings in the same line
When writing the line, there’s one thing I’m careful about.
Do not include emotional words in the exit fact portion.
For example, you cannot write lines like this.
【Exit when you somewhat feel weaker】
【Exit if it looks risky】
Feeling weak or risky can change based on your mood at that moment.
In the end, it tends to become a decision made by looking at the screen during holding.
What you can write are facts that anyone would agree on.
If the push breaks the low of the lower timeframe close, you can judge whether it did or didn’t break.
✅ Exit fact should be a shape that is decided by whether it is broken or not.
⚠ Revision example:【Exit when weak】→【Exit if the push’s low is broken by the lower timeframe’s close】
✔ When you’re scared, just look at one line
Even if you write one line, if the lower timeframe pushes after you enter, you’ll still be scared.
I’ll be honest: the fear itself doesn’t disappear.
But when you have a pre-decided action for fear, the outcome changes.
If you’re scared, just revisit the written line.
Look at the push’s low. It hasn’t broken yet. If so, your judgment remains as at entry.
This check hardly takes any time.
Both pushes and retracements were things you could foresee before entry.
Just because it happened doesn’t mean the reason for entering collapsed.
✅ When you’re scared, just look at one line to confirm.
✔ Confirmation when scared: 【Look at the push’s low / Has not yet broken / Judgment remains the same】
? It’s okay to reassess when the higher-timeframe location changes
I’ll break the rules up to this point once.
If the higher-timeframe location itself changes, there are times when you reassess without waiting for the decided line.
Before entry, I thought there was plenty of distance to the next wall.
But during holding, the higher-timeframe flow stopped, and a new wall appeared in front.
This isn’t a small wobble on the lower timeframe.
The place where you wrote Exit before entry has changed.
At this time, you may rewrite the exit location to be closer and finish there.
However, you should still leave a line explaining why you reassessed at that moment.
From my experience, when you cannot write one line, often the change was only in feeling, not location.
Switching between lower and higher timeframes is also to distinguish this.
✅ What you may reassess is only when the location changes; always keep a one-line reason.
? One-line for reassessment: 【A new wall formed on the higher timeframe. Change exit location to be closer】
? When you can’t stop worrying, what to do
“I’m anxious if I don’t keep watching the screen.”There are times you hear that.
I understand that feeling very well. I’ve felt it too.
But watching continuously and confirming the decided conditions are two different things, I think.
If you keep watching, every small push makes you scared and every tiny retrace makes you hopeful, and judgments flip constantly.
Confirming the decided conditions is simply checking whether price has reached that one point.
If you write it in one line, even if you’re not watching all the time, you’ll know where to look when the time comes.
That’s why I’ve largely stopped staring at the screen while holding.
✅ Separate watching from confirming conditions.
? What to do while holding: 【Check whether the decided point has been reached / Check whether the exit location has been reached】
? Add a sideways line to the reason for exiting
After you exit, add a line next to the one you wrote before entry, explaining the actual reason you exited.
【Look at: the push’s low / Actual exit reason: A single push on the lower timeframe scared me】
【Look at: the push’s low / Actual exit reason: the low was broken】
In weeks where the first pattern lines up, you exit to just before the line you decided.
In weeks where the second pattern lines up, you were able to move according to the one line.
In my case, initially the first line of the pattern appeared much more often than I expected.
Among the small losses repeated weekly that I found last time, this pattern was quite mixed in as well.
For the next week after lining them up, I first look back only at the portion where the first pattern line appeared.
If you line up the line for entering and the line for exiting, you can see your holding habits more clearly.

? Summary: The one line to look at while holding should be written before entering
If you keep staring at the screen after entering, you’ll release on small pushes or avert your eyes from the breaking facts.
Too early exits and too late exits both collapsed at the same point: not having decided where to look while holding.
So before entry, I write in one line: reason to enter, what to look at, exit fact, exit location.
Do not include emotional words in the exit fact; keep it a decision based on whether it is broken or not.
While holding, I only confirm that one point and the exit location.
Stop losses are a cost paid at the placed position, and I only revisit the reason with one line when the higher-timeframe location changes.
Finding the wall’s location and exit location every time by myself is time-consuming until you get used to it.
Gold Line Sniper AI does not decide what you look at while holding or the exit decisions for you.
As a support to verifying the wall position, please check the display contents and limits^^
When several things you want to fix come up at once, I’ll write about which to fix first in the next post.
Next time you enter, I’ll decide after writing one line before opening the order screen.
? Record endpoint: 【Reason to enter / Look at / Exit fact / Exit location】
