CALDO GOLD Scalp Practical Record Episode 1|Record from October 16–17: 2 wins, 1 loss and price movements up to settlement [Provisional]
The first issue of CALDO SCALP Practical Record reviews the signs that could be saved and subsequent price movements targeted on October 16–17, 2026. This time, we will cover not only signs that became profitable but also signs that turned into losses while moving in the expected direction partway through.
Real-time observation confirmed 3 items, 2 wins and 1 loss. The total recorded price difference was +4.940 dollars per ounce. One converging SELL obtained after reconnection yielded -4.363 dollars per ounce. This one will be published separately.
About the scope of this tally
The target dates are October 16–17 Japan time, but price collection stopped at 22:09:47.756 on the 16th. Due to the MT5 termination, signals and settlements occurring from the 17th onward are unconfirmed. Therefore, this article presents an interim report based on saved records, not a complete two-day performance. The 17th is not treated as “no signals” or “zero profit and loss.”
First, the performance and aggregation conditions
The version used for observation was CALDO Scalping 1.1.67, the instrument was XAUUSD, and price delivery was Exness-MT5. We are not using real account orders or fill histories; we are aggregating entrances recorded by indicators and the existing settlement results.
Price differences were calculated as “settlement price – entry price” for BUY, and “entry price – settlement price” for SELL, then converted to dollars per ounce. Entries and settlements were matched against saved Bid/Ask. A BUY uses Ask entry and Bid settlement; a SELL uses Bid entry and Ask settlement, and the price difference reflects this spread. We did not subtract a fixed spread separately. Additional fees, swaps, and slippage in actual orders are not included, and there is no conversion to account profit/loss based on assumed lot sizes.
The base sign times are boundary minutes as recorded. The actual price ticks that were matched appeared 0.122–0.273 seconds after that boundary. The table displays in minutes for readability. We did not replace entries or settlements with more convenient prices after the fact.
| Real-time Observation | Result |
|---|---|
| Number of settled cases | 3 cases (2 wins, 1 loss, 0 draws) |
| Win rate | 66.7% |
| Total positive price difference | +12.430 dollars per oz |
| Total negative price difference | -7.490 dollars per oz |
| Net total | +4.940 dollars per oz |
| Price-difference PF | 1.66(12.430 ÷ 7.490) |
| Unsettled/unverifiable within saved targets | 0 cases each. The state after recording stopped is unconfirmed |
Here, “win or loss” counts whether the price difference up to the existing settlement record is positive or negative. Since there are only 3 cases, this win rate and PF are not established as a benchmark for future performance.
Three signs, checked in chronological order
| Type | Entry → Settlement (10/16, JST) | Record Price | Price Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic SELL | 10:30→11:23 | 4150.639→4158.129 | -7.490 |
| Rebound buy | 13:00→14:00 | 4183.510→4175.124 | +8.386 |
| Basic BUY | 20:05→20:25 | 4176.465→4180.509 | +4.044 |
The units of price and price difference are dollars per ounce. All three cases have both the observation when the sign was open and the subsequent settlement records saved. Signs that externally could not save a win rate predictor are not excluded from this sign performance.
Breakdown by sign type
| Type | Real-time Observation | Delayed Acquisition |
|---|---|---|
| Basic BUY | 1 win 0 loss/+4.044 | 0 records |
| Basic SELL | 0 wins 1 loss/-7.490 | 0 records |
| Pullback BUY | 0 records | 0 records |
| Reversal BUY | 0 records | 0 records |
| Reversal SELL | 0 records | 0 wins 1 loss/-4.363 |
| Pullback BUY (M2-1) | 0 records | 0 records |
| Pullback BUY ver2 | 1 win 0 loss/+8.386 | 0 records |
| Total | 2 wins 1 loss/+4.940 | 0 wins 1 loss/-4.363 |
In this table, “0 records” means there was no sign matching the captured records found. It does not imply zero occurrences across the entire two days including periods of disconnection.
Side note: Early morning reversal SELL is −4.363 dollars per oz
The early morning reversal SELL at 03:35:00.169 on October 16 entered at 4157.930, was stopped out at 04:15:37.648 at 4162.293, giving a price difference of −4.363 dollars per ounce. The recorded initial stop was 4162.272, and the settlement used the actual Ask price that passed that level.
This sign was acquired after reconnection at 07:00 when already settled. The entry/settlement prices themselves match the saved tick, but they are not included in the real-time trace that followed the sign’s occurrence. The outcome being a loss is not the reason for its separation; it is separated due to different acquisition methods.
Takeaway 1 from this issue: separate a single run into the direction’s progress and the settlement result
The 10:30 basic SELL had an entry of 4150.639, while the saved Ask before settlement was 4147.319. In other words, through the observable path, there was a temporary positive movement of +3.320 dollars per ounce, but the final record shows −7.490 dollars per ounce.
The observation that “it went down after the sign” and the assessment that “overall including settlement was positive” should be read separately. When reflecting on this moment, we should confirm not only whether profit appeared along the way but also the rule governing when to end the observation given the conditions.
If you decide after reviewing the results that “I should have taken profit at 3 dollars,” this one looks good. However, whether that change would be effective for other signs requires separate validation. In this article, we preserved existing settlements and left losses as they were.
Takeaway 2 from this issue: do not turn the maximum run-up directly into profit
The 13:00 H1 body 20-dollar SELL had entry 4183.510 and settlement 4175.124 for +8.386 dollars per ounce. The minimum Ask in the saving path was 4172.058, so the maximum run-up from entry was 11.452 dollars per ounce.
In this edition, the sign tracked with a run-up of more than 10 dollars was effective, and settlement occurred after a fall back of at least 3 dollars from the subsequent minimum Ask. The settlement Ask was 3.066 dollars below the minimum Ask. We count performance up to the actually recorded settlement, not assuming settlement at the lowest price.
The 10:30 SELL and 13:00 SELL differ in the mechanism despite both being sales. Rather than simply summarizing “today’s sells were good or bad,” revisiting entrances and settlements by sign type leads to better guidance for the next observation.
Takeaway 3 from this issue: consider both win count and price width
The 20:05 basic BUY settled at 20:25 for +4.044 dollars per ounce. Real-time observation showed 2 wins and 1 loss, but the two positive cases totaled 12.430 while the single negative case was 7.490. By listing the width of each case as well as the win rate, you can understand why the net is +4.940.
When readers reflect, please briefly note three things: “sign type,” “facts observed at that time,” and “existing settlement conditions.” Add later impressions as a separate note, without overwriting the initial judgment.
What to build on in the coming serialization
This time, we separated the four verifiable cases by acquisition method and published both the wins and losses. In the future, we will continue to compare sign types, the periods that could be recorded, entry and settlement, and price movements in between. We will clearly indicate periods with insufficient records and distinguish later recovered items from real-time records.
