[10/14] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points and methods available for free public release
This is Tomizaki from the Trading Office.
【10/14 USD/JPY Scalping Points】
Thanks for your hard work! Alright, let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is today’s Tokyo time overview.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 158.25. This morning it started around 158.30, but during the Tokyo session the direction was indecisive and unsettled.
Today's Tokyo high is around 158.50 and the Tokyo low around 158.10.
Yesterday there were leaks about the BOJ, but this month a rate hike by the BOJ is unlikely, and unless there is a positive surprise from the US CPI today, a US rate hike is also unlikely. Will volatility settle for a while? Surprise me!
USD/JPY is likely to hand over to overseas trading near the morning levels.
Now, here are the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping (my notes).
● Movements around the London market open at around 16:00
● Movements after the US CPI release at 21:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
—–
Other notes…
・There is a speech by ECB President Lagarde at 17:30
・There is a speech by US Fed Vice Chair Lael Bowman at 18:40
・Be careful of yen depreciation remarks from US and Japanese officials
・Be mindful of headlines related to Middle East situation and crude oil prices

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping strategy” targets moves around each market open in London and New York, and moves after the 21:30 US CPI release. Users of the “1-minute scalping club” can handle it according to theory without issue.
Also, if you’re aiming for shorts with the “15-minute scalping strategy,” wait for a small rebound and look to sell around 158.40–158.50 or lower, then move lower. A pullback-style sell ahead of the US CPI.
As for the latest,Earlier, GoGoJungle kindly came to my office from afar and interviewed me about “scalping.” I’m grateful. I spoke a little despite being shy, so please take a look when you have time.

Scalping has small target widths, so one might think there are 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting periods with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The time periods I target are around the London market open and the New York market open.
・London market open time (16:00 during US daylight saving time / 17:00 during US standard time)
・New York market open time (22:00 during US daylight saving time / 23:00 during US standard time)
US indicators and events release can also increase volatility and opportunities. However, in the first few minutes after a release, spreads may widen, so the rule is to enter only after they return to normal spreads.
Please always check the US indicators and events schedule in advance. Knowing the times when opportunities come can help you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, positioning immediately before US indicators and events is something you must avoid. If you go against it, you can’t be saved. You could be taken to stop-out in an instant. Carelessness is not acceptable, absolutely not.
The US indicators and events schedule can be checked on the websites of each securities company and FX broker.
Of course, there are other points as well, but I’ve talked about the key points you should at least know when scalping USD/JPY.
Also…
In fact, I have completely公開 one of my trading methods, the “15-minute chart scalping,” for free. I hope it can be of some help. (Completely free, you know.)
