[Reason for not adding conditions while waiting for retreat] A way to write that does not prolong the candidate
While waiting for the pullback, aren’t you getting restless and opening other charts and news one after another? When the price arrives at the level you’ve been waiting for, how can you judge as planned from the outset?
The longer you wait, the more pieces of information you have to judge with, little by little.
And when the price arrives, you may find you can’t even explain what you were waiting for in the first place (;'∀')
Good evening!
I’m Masashi ^^
This time, I’m going to write the scope of observation in three lines before waiting for the pullback, and during the wait, not adding anything to those three lines.
Don’t throw away the conditions you want to add; keep them outside the three lines.
The conditions added while waiting mostly become reasons to enter. So don’t mix them into the three lines; place them under the line.
? The waiting time increases the number of conditions the most
The waiting time before placing an order is longer than you think.
From the moment you decide to wait for the pullback until the actual price comes, it’s not rare for it to take over an hour.
During that time, you feel restless standing in front of the chart.
So you begin to look up something.
・Open dollar movements on a separate screen
・Read headlines from economic news
・Look at lines drawn by someone on SNS
・Add displays you don’t usually use
Each one by itself isn’t bad.
However, as many screens as you have open, the more materials you have for judgment.
So, what will the added materials be used for when the price comes?
For me, I clearly saw it from a failure on a certain night.
? The waiting time is not a time to research, but a time to watch the decided place.
? Open seven tabs and end up not entering that night
I’ll write this honestly.
I used to be the busiest person during waiting time… lol
When I returned to the edge of the wall I had already decided, I’d just check whether the predetermined reaction would occur.
That was the plan for that night, and nothing more.
But while waiting, I read the news, watched the dollar, and looked at others’ lines.
When the price came to the edge of the wall, the conditions in my head had increased to five.
There isn’t a scene where all five line up, hardly ever.
In the end, I didn’t enter that night, and the price moved in the direction I had initially planned.
There was another night like this.
Even though the expected reaction didn’t appear, I entered due to another reason I found while waiting.
A night I couldn’t enter and a night I did enter.
Even if the results are different, what happened was the same.
Neither night did I judge by the initial plan.
? The scope of observation can be written in three lines
So, before you start waiting, I started to write the observation scope in just three lines.
・Where I’m waiting (which wall edge)
・What reaction I want to see (in the form of my own rule)
・When I’ll stop waiting (time or price)
The easiest to miss is the three lines.
Waiting without a defined end becomes a time to keep adding conditions.
When you actually write it, it becomes three lines like this.
【Waiting place: only a single point decided before placing the order】
【Reaction to see: whether the form written in your rule appears】
【When to stop: the time before sleeping or once you leave the waiting place】
Might you think three lines aren’t enough?
No, it’s not that three lines are enough; in fact, plans that don’t fit into three lines are plans you’re already waffling about before waiting.
If you couldn’t write them, it’s okay to set those candidates aside for the day you don’t wait ^^
? Why do added conditions tend to be reasons to enter?
The reason is that the person waiting already wants that trade.
So the information that comes into view and what you read into it tend to be those that point in the direction you want to go.
For example, suppose you find a headline saying the dollar is a little weak.
If you’re waiting to buy,“See, it’s going up after all.”you read it like that.
If you weren’t waiting, you might have passed the same headline without a second thought.
“No, no, more material should make it more certain, right?”
Some people might think that.
But that is only true when the materials are gathered under the same criteria.
If more materials made it more certain, the days you wait longer should go well.
But when I look back at my records, the days I waited longer, I entered for reasons different from the initial plan.
The materials gathered during waiting time tend to push the desire to enter rather than serve as confirmation.
⚠ If you have a reason to stop, you may add it in the middle
I’ve written this without adding, but there is one exception.
That is information that suggests stopping.
・The announcement time is approaching
・During waiting, the price breaks through the wall
・Price moves erratically and you can’t place a stop loss
This kind of information, even if learned during waiting, you keep using it as is.
Because it only works to end the candidate.
If you add a reason to enter, the candidate that should have ended stays alive.
If you add a reason to stop, the candidate ends there.
? What you want to stop is the addition that extends a candidate’s life. You can use additions that stop at any time.
✅ How to use newly thought-of reasons without discarding them, by changing their place
Thinking of something while waiting is inevitable.
Even now I think of various things during waiting (;'∀')
What I changed was only where I place the thoughts I came up with.
Draw a line under three lines and write the thoughts under that line.
For example, a line like【I saw the headline that the dollar is weak】.
What you write under the line is not mixed into that round of judgment.
After the trade ends, I read it again and consider whether there is value to include in the next three lines.
If you can keep it without discarding, oddly the urge of “I must use it now” decreases.
✅ Write before waiting. Read under the line after the trade. If you do it in reverse order, idle thoughts during waiting may leak into your judgment.
? Points to check when you feel like delaying the wait
Even when the price arrives at the waiting place, the reaction you expected may not appear.
In such a case, you tend to want to wait just a little longer.
But the things you can use for judgment at the extended point are usually the reasons you placed under the line.
The three lines you wrote first have already fulfilled their role at that point.
If the time or price you wrote to stop comes, that candidate ends. An overtime cannot be fought with reasons added later.
? Even the times you pass over remain with the three lines. The waiting time itself becomes a record.
? What can be organized with GOLD antidote, and what remains
Among the three lines, the waiting place and the reaction you want to see cannot be written unless you have a sequence of judgments inside you.
GOLD antidote is material that organizes the foundational thinking when you judge with GOLD.
It can be used as a foundation to be able to write the contents of the three lines in your own words.
However, it does not tell you where to wait every time.
Writing the three lines or letting your thoughts escape under the line is up to you.
Tools or教材 does not perform the judgments for you.
For those who tend to gather materials during waiting, I think it becomes a foundation for forming the contents of the three lines.
Conversely, it’s not suitable for those who want someone else to decide where to enter.
? Reading alone does not erase the doubt of waiting. There remains the effort to write three lines and try it.
? Common questions
People sometimes ask what to do if a better-looking form appears in another place while waiting.
In my case, as another candidate, I write a new set of three lines.
I don’t mix it with the current waiting.
If you try to view two candidates in one three-line set, you won’t know which conditions you judged by.
I’m asked how to decide the time for the third line.
I think you can decide it by your life schedule.
Before bed, before returning to work, before eating with family.
If it hasn’t come by then, you won’t wait today anymore.
Having that clear makes you less swept away by the length of waiting time.
? The end time can be decided not by the market, but by your own life.
? Summary: What increases during waiting goes under the line
The time waiting for the pullback is when judgment materials increase the most.
And most of the added materials are pushes of the desire to enter.
So before you start waiting, write the three lines for waiting place, the reaction you want, and the end time.
Place any reasons you thought of while waiting under the line.
Only the information about stopping can be used as is even if learned in the middle.
When the price comes, read only above the line, and when the third line arrives, end the candidate.
Whether you build the contents of the three lines by yourself or use the GOLD antidote sequence as a foundation is up to you.
Either way, please try waiting again with three lines and a line drawn on paper for the next round.
Just seeing what appears under the line will reveal what you were looking for during waiting!
