【Note-taking techniques when display and interpretation clash】A way to write a hold-off that doesn’t lean toward either side
Are you ever unsure which to trust when the place you are watching and the AI display point to different things? What should you do to avoid acting while they are still in disagreement?
It's scary to discard your own judgment, and it feels unsettled to ignore the display as well.
In the end, you end up unable to decide between them and freeze in front of the screen (;'∀')
Good evening!
This is Masashi^^
This time, I’ll talk about writing “Pending” when the AI display and your own judgment don’t match, without leaning towards either.
What matters more than merely pending is to leave a one-line reason like “Pending: the place I’m looking is different.”
When there’s a disagreement, write the reason for pending before choosing either option.
? I’m looking from the top, display is at the bottom. What happens the moment they disagree
For example, suppose I’m waiting for a sell reaction in the higher price range.
But the AI attention line on the display is in a price range below the current price.
In such a case, my mind immediately starts weighing win or loss in an instant.
Is my judgment correct, or is the display correct?
And in many cases, you’ll want to lean toward one side.
Do you give up your own price range to match the display, or stubbornly ignore the display?
No matter which way you lean, the other piece of evidence disappears from the screen at that moment.
Record example:【Me: waiting for a sell reaction in the upper price band / Display: lower price band / Current price: between the two】
? On a night when you almost give up your own price range to match the display
I, too, have once easily discarded my own judgment when it didn’t match the display.
Even though it’s a tool I created, when the display comes up, it feels like that side might be more correct… lol
That night, I moved my viewing point to the lower price band and tried to wait for a return there.
However, the price rose back to the upper price band I originally looked at and stopped there.
Stopping at the upper level may have been just a coincidence.
The problem was that I couldn’t explain later why I had shifted the viewing location.
In my notes I had only written【Because the display was at the bottom】.
If your reason for leaning is only “the display looked that way,” you won’t be able to learn anything later.
? Write “Pending” without choosing either
After that, when there’s a disagreement, I began writing “Pending” before choosing either option.
Pending is a bit different from deciding not to enter at all.
To be precise, it’s recording that “neither piece of evidence has been fully checked yet.”
Because it hasn’t been checked yet, the action is not taken now, in this order.
Some people might think this:
“No, no, AI is smarter, so why not just follow AI?”
In my case, I don’t think that way.
What the AI attention line shows are candidates for places to look.
Whether prices respond at those places hasn’t happened by the time the display appears.
The display is a candidate for where to look, not a conclusion on whether to enter.
? Write the pending reason as a fact above the chart
Just writing Pending makes it mere speculation.
So I write what is disagreeing and the trigger to re-check again.
Disagreements typically fall into three categories.
・The place you’re looking is different
・The direction you’re looking is different
・Even with the same place, it hasn’t reached yet
Write which one it is in one word, then add one trigger to re-check again.
The trigger is determined by whether what happened on the screen happened, not by your own guess.
Record example:【Pending: place is different / Trigger to re-check: price moves closer to one of the price bands】
? Compare the disagreement on the same screen
GOLDEN LINE Sniper AI is a decision-support tool I made for MT5.
I’ve made it possible to view the AI attention line, remaining time, and lot safety display on the same screen.
The lines I drew and the AI attention line on the same chart align, so if there’s a disagreement, you can see it at a glance.
If they’re on separate screens, you might miss the disagreement before you enter.
When Pending, the remaining time display is also helpful.
You can see in how many minutes the current bar will close, making it easier to decide when to re-check, giving a clear boundary for the Pending period!
What I don’t want you to misunderstand here is that the tool makes the judgment for you.
Which place you keep watching after a disagreement or whether you re-check after Pending is still up to you.
The tool only shows the disagreement; it does not decide which is correct.

✅ How to use when there’s a disagreement
If the place your line and the display point to are different, close the order screen for now.
In the memo, write only two things: the way of disagreement and the trigger to re-check.
For example, something as short as【Pending: direction is different / Trigger: approaches the upper price band】is enough.
Whether to enter or not remains the same as your usual view.
If the price moves away without the trigger coming, that round is a pass.
Even for the rounds you pass, record them as【Pending and pass / Neither price band reached】.
The point to look at is not which one hit, but whether you could wait after writing the reason for Pending.
⚠ If the Pending reasons become the same every time
If your Pending notes pile up for about two weeks, lay them out and review.
You may find the same words appearing repeatedly.
For example, if【Place is different: I’m farther away】keeps occurring, it doesn’t seem like a matter of win or loss against the display.
It might reveal a tendency to look at places that are far from the current price.
Conversely, if only rounds where you removed Pending get recorded, Pending may have become superficial.
It’s recommended to include the Pending rounds that you kept as well.
I don’t think Pending notes are for deciding which is correct.
They’re for making your tendency in looking at prices visible afterward.
❌ Don’t use “Different from display” as a Pending reason
When you begin Pending, you may want to write “Because it’s different from the display” in the reason section.
But that just restates the fact that it disagreed.
In the reasons, write what isn’t happening on the chart.
Prices haven’t yet reached either price band, or they did reach but the bar hasn’t closed yet, etc.
If you write it like this, the trigger to re-check naturally becomes part of the screen's events.
It becomes a matter of watching price movement and then reconsidering rather than reacting to the display.
? Who will benefit from this method, and who won’t
For those who have their own judgment and want material to compare with, seeing the disagreement on the same screen is convenient.
On the other hand, for those who want to enter exactly as the display shows, this is not for you.
Which side to watch during a disagreement and when to lift Pending remains in your hands even if you install the tool.
If you don’t yet have your own judgment, I think starting by drawing your own single line is best.
If there’s nothing to compare with, you can’t experience disagreement either.
? Next time you disagree
If the next time your line and the display point to different places, before leaning to one side, write in the memo “Pending.”
Then add one one-word trigger for re-checking, and one more trigger to compare again.
In two weeks, lay out the Pending reasons and check that the same words aren’t repeated.
I believe the words that appear will teach you your own biases earlier than the display^^
