In the serialization “RisingTide For Those Considering Purchases: Important Prerequisites,” Part 4,About the Operating Modes (Stable, Aggressive, Offensive) and SET Filesis.

First, the conclusion.Aggressive and offensive modes carry larger returns, but the depth of unrealized losses and lack of cushion are more pronounced. Furthermore,If you start with 1,000,000 yen from September 1, in all three symmetrical modes, you would have been stopped out.

1. Differences between the two modes

  • Operating Mode (TradeMode):Direction of trades. The default is “buy-dominant + selling linked to accumulation.” Other options include hedging (symmetrical), buy only, and sell only.
  • Operational Risk Mode (RiskMode):Three levels: Stable (default), Aggressive, Offensive. The aggressiveness of entries changes.

The performance greatly changes based on these two combinations, the lot multiplier, and the settings of the stop-loss brake.

2. SET files were needed because the multiplier became 1.07

Because I reduced the default lot multiplier from 1.10 to 1.07,changing input parameters alone cannot reproduce the performance of the previously published symmetrical modes.The performance of the symmetrical modes was verified with multiplier 1.10 and the stop loss brake OFF.

Therefore, we have prepared dedicated SET files for each mode. All fields are pre-configured.

3. How to load SET files

  1. In MT5, drag the EA onto the chart.
  2. Open the “Inputs Parameters” tab.
  3. Press “Load” at the bottom right and select the SET file.
  4. Verify that the settings have changed and press “OK.”

The performance when only the mode is changed has not been validated.The results shown on this page are for combinations read from.SET files.

4. 12-year backtest (Symmetrical, Multiplier 1.10, Stop OFF)

All three modes completed without stopping out. However, there are points to note.

  • Aggressive unrealized losses reached up to 94% of balance, and Offensive up to 99%.The minimum maintenance rate for Offensive was52%, and there was almost no cushion.
  • What sustained through the September 28 situation was that profits accumulated over 12 years, and the balance was about 25 to 30 million yen.

6. Cautions when choosing Aggressive or Offensive

  • If you choose Aggressive or Offensive in the default Operating Mode (Buy-dominant + Sell-linked), you may not withstand the sudden fluctuations as of March 2026.
  • If you choose, strongly recommend combining with symmetry hedging.
  • For the stop-loss brake, OFF is recommended for Symmetrical - Offensive. Since it is a full-settlement type, once it activates, losses are certain and may worsen. We tried lowering the brake amount, but it was not effective (1,000,000 yen for 3,000 USD, 3,000,000 yen for 9,000 USD: both stopped out early).
  • As performance improves, the required funds also increase. First, consider it in Stable mode, and only if you have surplus funds.

If you change values yourself, please verify the results yourself.

There is no guarantee that further declines will not occur. Start with an amount you can afford within your own financial cushion.
