How to perform at your best in any situation
I am a Candlestick FX Trader.
Recently, I have received several inquiries like this.
“I have bought various signal tools, EAs, and logics in the past,
there are times when I temporarily win, but
ultimately, the total result ends up negative.
And I try new tools again, but
I end up not winning in the end.
This negative loop has been continuing.
I don’t know how to become able to win.
What should I do?”
That kind of thing.
We have actually received many questions of this type in the past as well.
I don’t know what tools, EAs, or logics the person asking usually uses, but,
when I listen to their stories, most people are
“things that had excellent performance in the past”
to be using.
“Excellent past performance = excellent performance in the future”
is the equation many people believe and rely on.
And when I was losing, I believed in this equation as well.
I would just backtest the past and use the logic with good results.
But at some point, since the market is always changing,
even if there were great results in the past,
it doesn’t necessarily mean the future will be the same,
I began to think.
Then, conversely, since the market is always changing,
you should not believe past results.
After I adopted that mindset, I started winning dramatically.
And for that,
not using past-market equations or logics,
but using human instinct-based logics,
so that regardless of what kind of market arises in the future,
I can still aim for profits.
However, the market is always changing.
No matter how excellent a logic is,
if you trade at the wrong time or with the wrong currency pair,
even something that can win may fail.
What does that mean?
Please look at the next chart.
This is USD/JPY on a 1-minute chart.
The price range up and down is only about 20 pips.
Even with the low-spread USD/JPY,
no matter how superb the logic is,
it would be difficult to make a profit, as anyone would expect.
Similarly, at exactly the same time,
let's look at the EUR/USD chart.
This one has a range of only about 18 pips above and below.
I don’t even have confidence I can win here (laugh).
In such a market, no matter how superb the logic or tool you use,
you’ll be beaten by the spread,
and it becomes extremely difficult to profit.
Now, let's look at the gold chart.
Here, the price range is about 480 pips up and down,
which makes trading very easy.
These three currency pairs are all in the same time frame,
and obviously, even though you might be using the exact same logic or signal tool,
the person who traded gold would have the highest profit, needless to say.
I am not saying you should only trade gold in a currency pair.
Of course, depending on the time, day,
and future market changes,
the currency pair with the potential for large profits changes.
In the above time zone, gold happened to be the easiest to trade.
There are times when trading gold yields the most profit,
and there are times when trading USD/JPY yields the greatest profit.
It changes greatly depending on time zone and day.
Even in the future, it will continue to change.
However, many people do not consciously consider this fact,
instead focusing on logic and signal tools,
and they do not choose currency pairs or time zones well.
Therefore, they select currency pairs with little price movement or narrow time windows,
trading while thinking “well, maybe this or that,”
and no matter what logic or tool they acquire,
they end up not being able to win.
Even when looking back in the past,
USD/JPY used to tend to range,
and it wasn’t very suitable for trading.
However, from a few years ago, it began to move a lot.
Meanwhile, it is well known that GBP pairs move a lot, but
GBP/USD has recently become somewhat difficult to trade.
There was a time when EUR/USD was the easiest to trade.
As you can see, the ease of trading currency pairs changes year by year.
No matter how superb a logic or signal tool you use,
if you trade at an unsuitable time or with an unsuitable currency pair,
you will not win easily.
And there are quite a few people who do such things.
Even while providing support generally,
there are surprisingly many people who trade by choosing difficult currency pairs and time zones.
And, on the other hand, if you can properly select “the currency pair suitable for trading and“time zone and season”,
then most logics and tools will work well.
In particular, my logic is designed to work even as the market evolves in the future, so
by correctly selecting both a “currency pair suitable for trading” and a “time zone and season,”
it will perform even better.
However, the unfortunate reality is that the “currency pair suitable for trading” and the “time zone and season” are always changing.
Therefore, even though we might tell you which currency pair is recommended,
it could change by next week.
So how should you find the “currency pair suitable for trading” and the “time zone and season”?
This time, I have developed a method to do thiswithout discretion!
And when I公開ed this method,
I received a lot of joyful feedback from many people.
・After reading this, I realized I had been trading in hard-to-trade currency pairs until now.
・I didn’t know exactly how to choose currency pairs, so this is very helpful!
・With a signal tool I bought elsewhere,
there were times it performed well, and times it didn’t win at all.
I didn’t know why, but after reading this, I could tell exactly when to trade,
so I can trade only during good times.
・No one could teach me this.
People sell signal tools and methods,
but who tells you which currency pair to trade and when to maximize effectiveness?
What you need to know is almost always something you can’t learn from beginners’ materials like discretion and situational awareness.
With this method, anyone can trade without getting lost.
Such feedback was received.
As expected, many sellers still sell tools that had great past performance,
logics, etc.,
but very few will tell you exactly which currency pairs, what time zones, and what seasons to trade.
And the way to decide is, ultimately, discretion or situational awareness,
things that beginners find difficult,
(perhaps the seller is escaping?)
very often requested.
I have not purchased from other sellers, so I’m not sure, but
I have received many such messages.
Honestly, in a favorable market,
most logics can win.
And in an unfavorable market,
almost any logic loses.
Figuring out how to trade only during favorable markets is more important.
I think that’s the key.
However, there has been no method to select that.
This is perhaps the biggest reason why, no matter how many tools or logics you obtain, you still can’t win consistently in FX.
Now, by making this methodwithout discretionso that even beginners can decide immediately,
even signal tools and logics that have fluctuated between wins and losses will be able to trade only during good times,
and their performance will improve dramatically.
To reiterate, in order to win in FX,
it is not about obtaining tools or logics with superb past performance, but
“currency pairs suitable for trading”and“time zone and season”to select and
trade, which is 100 times more important.
Up until now, you may have obtained various logics, tools, and EAs,
but still could not win consistently,
because you were not properly selecting currency pairs and trading times.
The concrete method for this selection is described in the article below,
so if you have acquired various signal tools and logics but still can’t win consistently,
please read it.
