[10/6] Tonight's USD/JPY scalping points and methods free公開中
This is Tomizaki from Trading Office.
[10/6 Dollar/Yen Scalp Points]
Good work everyone! Now let's trade Dollar/Yen scalping again tonight!
First, a quick overview of the Tokyo session today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 158.20. The pair started this morning around 157.90, but during the Tokyo session there was a persistent demand for USD on the back of the interest rate gap between Japan and the United States, causing a slight uptrend.
However, as it approaches the mid-158s to the 159s, concerns over yen depreciation from Japanese and American officials and potential intervention rise, so this is not a runaway market.
Even if there is no clear direction, it would be nice if the current volatility could be maintained.
USD/JPY is expected to hand over to the overseas session with an increase of about 30 pips from the morning level.
Now, tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points (my notes).
● Movements near the 16:00 London market open
● Movements after the 21:30 US trade balance release
● Movements near the 22:00 New York market open (to 22:30 Dow Open)

Other notes…
・At 22:05 there will be remarks by Williams, President of the New York Federal Reserve
・At 23:45 there will be remarks by Bowman, Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve
・Be cautious of yen depreciation talk from Japan and the United States
・Be wary of headlines related to the Strait of Hormuz

Tonight’s “1-minute chart scalping strategy” targets movements around market opens in London and New York, and the post-21:30 US trade balance release. For users of the “1-minute scalping club,” following the theory should be fine. However, US indicators aren’t highly significant, so market reaction may be limited. More so, there may be expectations after key speeches by US officials.
Also, if you aim for a short position with the “15-minute scalping strategy,” wait for a slight pullback and aim to sell around 158.30–158.40 or lower, then move lower.
With that, overseas trading time is about to begin!
Also,GoGoJungle kindly came all the way to my office to interview me about “scalping.” I’m honored. I spoke a little, so please take a listen when you have time.

Scalping tends to be thought of as having small target widths and thus many 24-hour opportunities, but that is not the case. By targeting times with relatively high volatility, you can significantly reduce the difficulty of trading.
The times I target are around the London market open and the New York market open.
・London market open time (US daylight saving time 16:00 ~ / US standard time 17:00 ~)
・New York market open time (US daylight saving time 22:00 ~ / US standard time 23:00 ~)
Volatility rises and opportunities are plentiful right after US data releases or events. However, in the first few minutes after the announcement, spreads may widen, so the rule is to only enter after they return to normal spreads.
Always check the US data and event schedule in advance. Knowing when opportunities come around helps you accumulate profits efficiently.
Also, absolutely avoid positioning immediately before US data or events. If you go against the trend, it can be devastating. Avoid careless mistakes, absolutely.
US data and event schedules can be checked on the websites of brokers and FX providers.
Of course there are many other points besides the ones above, but I’ve shared the essential points to keep in mind when scalping the USD/JPY.
