【Development Behind the Scenes】Why does increasing "MTF MA" make the chart heavier? ~A subtractive design that leaves only what's necessary for trading~

1. The MTf Indicator Weighting Issue that Frustrates Traders

  • Overlaying the higher timeframe MA (moving average) in environmental awareness is fundamental.

  • However, once you add multiple MTF MAs, voices complaining that “the chart lags every time a tick is recorded” and “entry decisions slow down due to heavy performance” are never-ending.

2. Why are other indicators heavy, and what gets in the way in real trading?

  • Being MTF MA is not the sole reason for heaviness.
    Where to calculate to what extent, how often to update, and how to render—all these implementation differences affect chart performance.

  • In some MTF indicators, the design may compute and render over a wide past range that is not necessary for actual trading.

  • As a result, when you add multiple indicators, chart operations may feel heavy, leading to stress in the trading environment.

  • ※ Without touching specific program structures or formulas, this focuses on the “reasons of heaviness from a user experience perspective.”

3. 6-MTF-MA that pursues only what is truly needed in trading

  • What is especially important during trading is the information about where the MA of the higher timeframe lies relative to the current (latest) price.

  • Therefore, by minimizing unnecessary rendering and processing, and by running six MTF MAs simultaneously,a design that minimizes interference with trading operationswas aimed for.

  • We have incorporated features such as a label displaying “timeframe + MA type” at the line tip and smoothing features to reduce visual noise while still conveying the necessary information.

4. Summary

  • Not about making things flashy or loading with features,but about comfort: not getting in the way of trading and enabling quick situational awarenessis what matters.
  • From that idea, the six MTF MAs were designed by leaving only the necessary information and removing as much unnecessary processing and rendering as possible, which is the basis of this6-MTF-MA.
  • Rather than adding up to include six lines, we subtract to enable comfortable use of six lines.
    That was the key point I focused on in this development.
