【Development Behind the Scenes】Why does increasing "MTF MA" make the chart heavier? ~A subtractive design that leaves only what's necessary for trading~
1. The MTf Indicator Overload Problem That Plagues Traders
In environment awareness, layering the higher-timeframe MA is fundamental.
However, when you actually add multiple MTF MAs, there are constant voices saying, “The chart stutters with every Tick,” and “the entry decision becomes slow due to heavy performance.”
2. Why are other indicators heavy, and what gets in the way in practice?
It’s not simply that MTF MAs are heavy.
Where to compute, how often to update, and how to render—the differences in implementation affect chart performance. Some MTF indicators are designed to compute and render over a wide past range that is rarely needed for actual trading.
As a result, when multiple indicators are loaded, chart operations can feel sluggish, contributing to trading environment stress.
※We will not touch on specific program structures or formulas; we will focus on the reasons for heaviness from a user experience perspective.
3. Six MTf MA designed to pursue “only what is truly needed for trading”
What is especially important during trading is information about where the higher-timeframe MA is relative to the current price (the latest price).
Therefore, by minimizing unnecessary rendering and processing, and operating six MTF MAs simultaneously,we aimed for a design that does not interfere with trading actions.
We have implemented labels indicating “timeframe + MA type” at the line tip and smoothing features to suppress visual noise while still conveying essential information.
4. Summary
- Rather than “making appearance flashy or piling on features,”“comfortably enabling quick situational awareness without getting in the way of trading”is what we consider important.
- From that idea, we left only the necessary information and removed as much unnecessary processing and rendering as possible, which is thisSix-MTF-MA.
- Instead of adding up to six by summing, we subtract to make six comfortable to use.
This was the key focus in this development.
Try it in practice and feel the difference
As written here, what I value is not only that the features work, but also how they feel when used in actual trading environments.
That said, there are parts that may be hard to grasp from text alone.
Therefore, the Trade Toolbox series offers,
free trial options
items that you can thoroughly verify with a trial version
official paid versions
are available.
“How will it actually work in my own environment?”
That is what we want you to confirm the most.
If you’re curious, first do not feel compelled to purchase;try the free version or trial version and actually interact with it.
And if you do actually use it,
“This was useful.”
“I’d like this part to be a little different.”
“It was lighter than I expected.”
“I use it in this way.”
We would be grateful if you share your candid impressions in a review.
We are not asking for only positive ratings.
The honest feedback from those who actually used it will be the most helpful for future development.
There are times when I myself realize, “Oh, this is what people are looking at.”
From now on as well, we will continue to improve to create an environment that does not hinder trading and is as easy to use as possible.
