Entry is EA. After that is smartphone. With US employment statistics +33,000 yen
NewsBurst Operation Record
Entry is EA. After that, it's on a smartphone.
+33,000 yen at US employment data
October 2.
We aimed for the US employment data at 21:30 Japan time with NewsBurst.
This time, not the usual 0.10 Lot, but
1.00 Lot.
Result is,
+33.0 pips
+33,000 yen
was the outcome.
Of course,
It is not the story that “you can make 30,000 yen by using 1 Lot.”
If you increase the Lot, profits and losses both become larger.
What was particularly convenient this time was not the amount per se, but something else.
Entrusting entry to the EA, then you can also check on your smartphone.
This usage.
This time USDJPY SELL
This trade is USDJPY.
USDJPY SELL
1.00 Lot
Entry 157.535
Exit 157.205
+33.0 pips
Profit and loss +33,000 yen
Looking at the chart, USDJPY moved downward sharply triggered by the data release.
NewsBurst entered SELL on that downward movement.
After a large decline,
“It has fallen. Let's sell.”
is not what was chased.
Prepare orders before the release.
Price moves down.
SELL gets filled.
This is the flow.
NewsBurst is automated up to entry
This is something I want to reiterate many times.
NewsBurst is not merely a tool to notify the indicator time.
It is not an EA that preps orders and leaves the final click to a human.
The EA handles entry.
What humans decide in advance is,
- which indicator to target
- currency pair
- Lot
- Entry distance
- TP
- SL
these kinds of plans.
As the indicator time approaches, the EA automatically prepares stop orders around the current price.
aboveBuy Stop
belowSell Stop
If the price actually moves, orders in that direction are filled.
When one side is filled, the unfilled opposite order is deleted by the EA.
At the moment of the news, there is no need for a human to press the order button.
Judgment is human. Execution is by the EA.
The mobile MT5 becomes convenient here
From here is where I find the method especially convenient this time.
NewsBurstEA itself runs on the PC MT5.
It is not running the EA inside the mobile MT5.
However, if you set the same trading account into the mobile MT5 as well, you can
- check whether you currently hold a position
- see how far it has moved
- view unrealized profit or loss
- decide to close the position manually
and perform such checks and operations on hand.
Entry on PC with the EA. Check and settlement on smartphone makes it easy.
This combination is quite user-friendly.
Of course, the premise is that the MT5 on PC and NewsBurstEA are running normally and connected to the trading account.
No need to stay in front of the PC
What makes indicator trading bothersome is
“There is an announcement at 21:30, so I must be in front of the PC at that time.”
Open the PC before the announcement.
Look at the chart.
Check the price.
Prepare the orders.
Wait for the moment of the release.
If everything is manual, this is what happens.
But something can happen at that time.
Being called by the kids.
Being spoken to by a family member.
Another task comes up.
You want to move away from the PC a little.
That happens often.
With NewsBurst,
Create a Plan in advance.
Run the EA.
Leave the order and entry at the release to the EA.
If you prepare up to here,
you can reduce the need to stick to the PC just to enter at the release moment.
Entry by EA. Take profit can be on smartphone
NewsBurst allows setting TP and SL in advance.
If the set price is reached, automatic profit-taking or stopping loss can also be performed.
However, for me, if I can check price movement after taking a position,
I also like the method of human decision for closing while looking at the chart.
Economic indicators can surge rapidly.
But they do not always continue to move.
There can also be sharp reversals.
Therefore,
have the entry on the PC.
check price movement on smartphone.
if it has extended enough, decide yourself to close.
This usage is also possible.
Do the tedious and fast part by EA.
Leave the parts you want to decide to humans.
When 1 Lot, the profit and loss become large
This time’s result is,
+33.0 pips.
1.00 Lot.
+33,000 yen.
Since I had tested with 0.10 Lot until now, the amount became significantly larger.
But this requires caution.
If you increase the Lot, the potential profit increases.
At the same time, the losses can increase similarly.
This time was +33,000 yen, so
“Then just use 1 Lot”
is not the takeaway.
Lot should be decided by yourself considering capital and acceptable loss.
What to look for now is 33 pips, not 33,000 yen
This time, I’m looking at the price range rather than the amount.
+33.0 pips.
ISM the day before moved about 11 pips.
This employment data moved 33 pips.
It is quite different.
By accumulating such data,
- which indicators tend to move a lot?
- which indicators move only a few pips?
- which indicators pair well with NewsBurst?
- which indicators should be discarded in the future?
these things gradually become visible.
In the previous article, Swiss CPI hardly moved.
Initial jobless claims did not cause a large initial move either.
This time, the employment data moved 33 pips.
You don’t need to target every indicator in the same way.
I want to shape trading so that life isn’t stopped
This time I was thinking about a smartphone-checkable usage, which made me feel the purpose of NewsBurst again.
Usually, humans align with market times.
Because it’s 21:30, they are in front of the PC.
Because it is 23:00, they open the PC.
Because the indicator is imminent, there is nothing you can do.
But if you create a Plan in advance and
leave the entry at the moment of release to the EA,
humans gain a bit more freedom.
I’m not advocating complete laissez-faire.
Economic indicators can be unpredictable at times.
Spread widens.
Slippage occurs.
Sharp reversals can happen.
These are possible.
Still, you can reduce the need to stick to the PC just to click at release moment.
I think this is quite practical.
We are recruiting Phase 0 members
Currently, NewsBurst is recruiting Phase 0 development collaborators.
NewsBurst Phase 0
In Phase 0, we don’t just want you to use NewsBurst.
What indicator did you target?
What movement occurred?
How many pips moved?
Did you fail?
Was the timeout appropriate?
Were there any usability issues?
We want to collect such real-world results together.
And,
which indicators to keep?
which indicators to discard?
How to set them?
We want to think about this together.
1 Lot yields 33,000 yen. But that is not the main point
1.00 Lot.
+33.0 pips.
+33,000 yen.
If you look only at this time, the result is quite straightforward.
But I don’t want NewsBurst’s value to be reduced to a “EA that made 30,000 yen.”
The value I felt anew this time is
not having to enter at the exact moment of the indicator.
Decide the plan in advance.
Leave it to the EA.
Entries occur.
Then check on the smartphone.
If necessary, close yourself.
With this form, you can reduce the need to pause your life entirely for trading.
Finally
US employment data on October 2.
USDJPY SELL.
1.00 Lot.
Entry 157.535.
Exit 157.205.
+33.0 pips.
+33,000 yen.
This time, the gains were solid.
However, there is no guarantee that the same movement will occur next time.
Indicator trading carries risks such as,
- spread widening
- slippage
- order rejection
- order execution delays
- sharp reversals
There is a possibility that losses occur even with an increased Lot.
Therefore, I will continue recording not only wins but losses as well.
And this time, another usable approach emerged,
Entry by EA.
Confirmation and settlement can be on smartphone.
Human judgment.
Immediate execution by EA.
Subsequent judgment by humans again.
NewsBurst aims for such role distribution.

NewsBurst does not guarantee profits.
FX trading involves risk, including loss of principal.
At the time of economic indicator releases, price volatility, spread widening, slippage, order rejection, and execution delays may occur.
Even using EA or programs may incur losses.
